Received my order damaged; as well as too much evidence proving that this motherboard was either returned or a display model. Seller claims item was opened by customs, and shipper. Too many other signs of tampering to believe this excuse. I repaired damage and received a discount on the purchase price of the motherboard. Installed, it continues to operate normally. Seller still offers 1yr warranty. Happy ending.

I ordered an Asus motherboard and upon arrival and inspection I noticed that the cpu socket cover was loose in the box. The cpu socket was damaged probably from the loose cover flying around in the package. Upon closer inspection I believe that this item was either used or a returned item; being resold as new. Upon attempting to re-secure the cpu protective cover, I found that it could not be fastened securely.
