Optiplex 760 Lifesaver
Pros: Fit in an old Dell Optiplex 760 with no further upgrades required. Made this a viable gaming machine, playing most games near max settings at very playable frame-rates.
Cons: None to speak of.
Overall Review: My card overclocks with AMD OverDrive to 930mhz core with no increase in voltage and stock cooling. If you're trying to squeeze some gaming life out of an old machine - this is the card you're looking for.
As any search will reveal, WD15EADS is junk
Pros: When it worked, it was cheap storage.
Cons: It stopped working after 18 months, reads from the drive would come to a crawl and make file copying impossible.
Overall Review: All things considered, a cheap hard drive used for media storage that lasted 18 months isn't a miserable experience, it's just disappointing. Western Digital has not adequately addressed the issue either, as any Google search related to WD15EADS-00P8B0 will reveal.
4 years and still strong
Pros: Workhorse, never a problem - always a great picture.
Cons: None to speak ok
Overall Review: This is what you hope you get out of all electronics purchases; a good value, a good product, and durability. If you can pick one up used, you'll be pleased.
Five Years - Still Running Strong
Pros: Durability, Easy to Use
Cons: It's certainly not fast, but USB 2.0 is the limitation - not the drive itself.
Overall Review: You buy an external drive, it runs for more than five years, that's a win.
*Worth Noting
Pros: Inexpensive, and in my experience, reliable.
Cons: *** Worth noting. This drive is 5400 RPM, so it's certainly not high performance - it's for storing media.
Great Router, a little tough to set up
Comments: As with most networking products, if you're not familiar with setting up a network the documentation provides little help. After some trial and error I got the router up and running and everything has worked great since.
