I changed my review! 5 eggs!!!
Pros: +Good price! +I like the musky brown color it has +It supports my Ryzen 9 5900x CPU (full guide below) +Snagged the black Friday deal for $99!!
Cons: -The onboard heatsink is too tall and sits under the gpus, see my photo. My rtx 3060 and another card my gtx 680 both were right up on that heatsink, I wish it wasn't there. The cards work but I'm not comfortable with how I had to push on that heatsink to make sure my cards were in. -Both the manual and website don't show the important step about shorting your cmos jumper after flashing the bios for Ryzen 9 5000 cpus. It's vital to have that info!!
Overall Review: Disregard my one star egg review, the instructions never mentioned that you need to short your cmos jumper after you flash the bios. Once I did that, I was back in business! (Removing the cmos battery method didn't work for me) I may update my review later but so far I am happy. For anyone with a 5000 Ryzen CPU, this is what I did to get video and peripherals to work: Flash the bios with the quick flash feature on a fat32 formatted thumbdrive. - Do this with nothing connected to the motherboard except the two power connectors, the 24 pin and 8 pin connector. - - Let it do its thing, it will turn on your fans and will shut everything down when it's done. (Don't have anything else installed, no cpu, no ram, no gpu) - Then turn off the power behind your CPU -Touch the cmos jumper with a screwdriver and hold it there -Turn on your power supply then turn on your computer --It will short and you will go nuts but that's ok! -Now remove the screwdriver and install your hardware and cables -Boot up and enjoy this sweet motherboard!
cpu fan plug not installed correctly!
Pros: Plays fallout 4 and all other AAA titles exceptionally well on max settings. Minecraft however has frame drops, could be the 8gb of ram.
Cons: The cpu fan cable was not installed correctly onto the motherboard. The cpu fan was not running at all. The computer began to smell like heated plastic and this may have damaged the cpu. If I wasn't tech savvy this could have cost a person hundreds of more dollars in repairs. Who knows what it may have done to my system in the long run.
Overall Review: Please make sure your employees connect everything before shipping this to your customers. Points deducted for potential hardware damage that may have occurred due to this mishap.
