Rosewill 3.5 hdd case
Pros: solid, aluminum body. I always go with metal instead of plastic. everything is just standard and aswhat is advertised. Nothing special nothing fancy, just simple and easy to hook up and use. One thing that is worth mentioning is that this enclosure has a version for 2.5" HDD or SSD. Pretty amazing to get them as a pair if you happen to have both sizes of HDD.
Overall Review: i will buy the 2.5" case once i have a spare SSD
4 port usb card
Pros: All 4 ports work fine simultaneously. What I plugged in are one USB 16G flash drive, one portable WD HDD 500G, one Logitech wireless receiver for my keyboard and mice, one gaming headset. It is running on Win 7 Pro. So far so good, decent data transfer speed and there is no compatibility issue with any of my stuff.
Overall Review: none
solid aluminum case
Pros: this is the 2nd case I bought, just love the aluminum body, better for over heat problem. Well, if yours is a SSD then never mind, plastic one be no difference from metal. Well, this little case is solid and well worth the money. 2.5" case should be simple and not many feature after all. My old 500G Seagate HDD fits in perfectly and it connects to my desktop Win 8.1 instantly. So the installation is easy. Next, data transfer, as far as I can tell, it is real USB 3.0 speed, what else? A drop test?
Overall Review: i hope it can be tool-less.
beyond my expectation
Pros: So far so good, the usb ports are working at usb 3.0 speed. the hdd sata port gets my hdd instantly connected. what else, oh, the compatibility, they are working well with my Win7, no obvious slow down or disconnection. but i cannot test win 8 or 8.1, simply do not have them on my laptops or PCs.
