I would hold off from buying gen5 for now.

GIGABYTE AORUS Gen5 SSD 12000 SSD 2TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 Internal Solid State Hard Drive with Read Speed Up to 12400MB/s, Write Speed Up to 11800MB/s, AG512K2TB

Pros: Possible, bragging rights. If youre in a group that doesnt care about price to performance and simply just want the best no matter the cost.

Cons: Youre GPU will run at x8 with minor performance loss. No noticeable performance over top quality gen4 drives as a C: drive. Runs hot around 100c with its heat sink.

Overall Review: If you put two identically specked computers next to each other and you had to guess which one had the gen4 drive and the gen5 drive I doubt the most people could guess which one was gen4 and gen5.
