Blazing fast

MSI SPATIUM Series M.2 2280 2TB PCIe Gen3 x4, NVMe 1.3 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) M370
MSI SPATIUM Series M.2 2280 2TB PCIe Gen3 x4, NVMe 1.3 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) M370

Pros: Extremely fast Relatively cheap at 2TB

Overall Review: This drive is blazing fast. I didn't realize how much faster than top of the line SATA SSD it would be: at 2500mpbs it's 5 times faster than 500mbps! If you're playing games that need frequent access to a large amount of assets (say star citizen, cyberpunk) this SSD will offer stellar never seen before performance. Star citizen went from taking 130 seconds to launch with a top of the line SATA SSD to 45 seconds. And micro freezes when moving from one place to another are basically a couple frames instead 10-20 frames drop. And at 2tb you will be able to add many games. I didn't think it would be this good tbh.

Deceptive SMR drive! SLOW speeds!!!

Seagate BarraCuda NE-ST8000DM004 8TB 5400 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate BarraCuda NE-ST8000DM004 8TB 5400 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Not cheap enough given the use of SMR in a previously CMR lineup. Lifespan has been lowered by SMR but MODEL NUMBER IS THE SAME!!!

Overall Review: I happened to have purchased the same drive, same model a few years ago. Unfortunately, seagate continue to use older models and shove SMR technology in them without mentioning anything unless you go dig in their spec sheet on their website. I feel betrayed and scammed, because if I buy the same model 2 years later, I expect to have to same specs, if not better because new technology is supposed to improve over time, not go backwards. Oh well, I got had and I will NEVER EVER buy seagate again. I guess I'll have to look into a competitor that doesn't engage in deceptive practices in the future. I am VERY disapointed, their drive from 2 years ago was much better and this isn't normal. This isn't normal that Seagate doesn't but "SMR" in big letters on the sticker of the drive so people know what they're getting into. It's deceptive abusive and really disrespectful to lower the specs of a previously sold model without saying anything about it. The price of this drive should be much lower, this isn't fair that seagate is increasing their margin while not offering a discount for a product much cheaper to produce. I guess if price alone matters, yeah this is a good drive. If you care about longevity and speeds, maybe look somewhere else.

MSI cheap design

MSI GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 ATX Graphics Card RTX 3080 SEA HAWK X 10G LHR

Pros: Actually nice when tampered with

Cons: Cheap thermal pads let VRAM overheat way beyond specs Early product failure will occur unless user upgrades thermal pads

Overall Review: MSI is known to cheap out on thermal pads and it's destroying this card's memory way faster than it should. Temperatures of the memory easily reach 105°C when used, while the Nvidia chip itself is a mere 43°C... . For information, the specifications of the VRAM manufacturer state that the memory chips have a maximal operating temperature of 95°C... Consequently, your expensive GPU WILL DIE much quicker than it should. Unless you perform a repair yourself. That means opening the card, replacing the thermal pads with any thermal pad bought online (literally no other thermal pad is as bad as the ones used by MSI... yikes). Once you replace the thermal pads tho the memory becomes immediately 25°C cooler which is within specs and all is good. It's just unbelievable that MSI didn't correct this issue. Look up online MSI is a repeat offender. Doesn't help that most people cannot see VRAM temps easily and have to figure out why is the card thermal throttling at "low" apparent temperatures or need to figure out why their card died after less than 3 months. Unacceptable especially for a card this expensive, twice the price of MRSP. MSI what are you doing? Use decent thermal pads please!

Wifi has never been so good

Ubiquiti AC Pro Ceiling-Mounted Wi-Fi Access Point (UAP-AC-PRO)
Ubiquiti AC Pro Ceiling-Mounted Wi-Fi Access Point (UAP-AC-PRO)

Pros: Excellent signal. No more random disconnections. Excellent speed. Low amount of cables.

Cons: Unusual setup. Unclear instructions (make it look like one would need unifi router and switch, thankfully it's not the case, any router, and internet access point with DHCP will do). Requires Java.

Overall Review: Now that I've tried this I never want to buy any other wifi access point ever. We kept suffering random disconnections and speed drops (I don't know why some neighbors have 5 access points in their small homes, and some of them I receive their network from 250 yards away... I suspect it was jamming my signal somehow). No more random disconnections, phones and devices still indicate that reception is "poor" when far away, yet they download and upload full speed (150mbps). This product is amazing, I highly recommend it will make wifi great again.

Great experience

Received my two Samsung SSDs in a timely manner. Also tested the SSD drives thoroughly because I don't blindly trust anyone anymore when it comes to storage and item had both speed and capacity as advertised. Great experience.
