Great for gaming

Intel Core i5-4460 - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.2 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics 4600 Desktop Processor - BX80646I54460
Intel Core i5-4460 - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.2 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics 4600 Desktop Processor - BX80646I54460

Pros: This thing is just amazing. It has no problem running any game. I can run CPU intensive games like GTA IV just fine with mods. It is obviously a lot faster than my old Pentium E2140. No need to spend any more money on the 4570 or 4670 (unless 4670K or 4690K), this is the best i5 you can get for the price (unless aforementioned CPUs are on sale for a lower price). Will not bottleneck any GPU (unless it's a dual GPU setup) It blows away any AMD CPU.

Cons: None. Absolutely none. About the stock cooler, read other thoughts.

Overall Review: I don't know why most people hate the stock cooler. It does an amazing job for me. I've never seen it go over 63C while gaming under the stock cooler. 32C idle. It's pretty silent too.

Update on my 8/1/2014 review

CM Storm Enforcer - Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and Water Cooling Support
CM Storm Enforcer - Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and Water Cooling Support

Pros: Same as last time.

Cons: So, since I've owned this case for a longer time and fiddled around with it a bit, I noticed some flaws. First off, to install an optical drive, I took the front bezel off and a magnet got stuck on the case, not the bezel. It's one of the magnets that hold the front panel closed. It turns out that it was just hot glued onto the bezel and it immediately came off. I took the glue residue off and put it back where it belongs. Yesterday, I took the bezel off again and what do you know? The second magnet came off. Had to put that back in place too. Oh, and once those magnets get stuck onto something metal, it's really hard to get them off. Cooler Master didn't do a great job at gluing those. Also, the front 200mm fan is loud. I once unplugged it and my PC was basically silent. The rear 120mm is fine, just front fan is loud.

Overall Review: Still a great case though, would buy again.

Wide. REALLY wide.

Acer G6 Series G246HL Abd 24" Full HD 1920 x 1080 5ms 60Hz VGA DVI Slim Profile Widescreen White Backlit LED LCD Monitor

Pros: What can I say? 24" 1080p LED for $130? Just buy it. The colors are so clear compared to my old 1440x900 Dell monitor. Image is crisp. Very wide monitor.

Cons: Stand is a little tricky to get setup at first but it's fine.

Overall Review: If you get this on sale for around $130, don't hesitate, just buy.

Compatible with Haswell Refresh CPUs

MSI B85-G41 PC Mate LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX High Performance CF Intel Motherboard

Pros: Nice board for the money. Needed something nice to support my first build, and this does the job. Has a fancy and easy to set up BIOS (unlike my old Dell's bluescreen like BIOS). User manual and reference guide was more helpful than I thought. Don't forget to read it. I was extremely excited and surprised when it booted up no problems with an i5 4460, which I thought would require a BIOS update (See Other Thoughts for more info).

Cons: Not many, but they may get you worried of you're a first time builder like me. -UPC sticker on the back of the mobo left sticker residue, which had me worried as I though it would short circuit. -Only two SATA cables. -Apparently false advertising about RAID but I won;t be using it so yeah. -Installing the CPU. It may have been the most horrifying thing I did with my new build. It literally sounded like all the pins were breaking one by one as I was pushing the lever and retention plate down. Nothing happened though. System works fine.

Overall Review: Now, let's get to the compatibility. If you think this won't work with Haswell Refresh CPUs without a BIOS update, you're wrong. This seems to be a new batch of these boards which include the updated BIOS. Neither MSI, Intel or Newegg state that. I can confirm it works with the i5 4460, which is a Refresh CPU.
