Pros: MSI support was quick to send me 3.13 bios after filing out online form over engineering bios. Defaults for hyperthread were set at 400, raised them to 1000 for both north and south bridge. This baby beats my MSI platinum with a 148 oppy oc'd to 2.75ghz on memory write by 100 points.

Cons: None than I can see ....

Overall Review: The memory read spead was 200 points below my oc'd oppy, but this system only has corsair value select pc3200 ram, the oc'd oppy uses pc4000. I am amazed, the other review calling it a sleeper is completely in line...

Pros: A lot of features, the MSI name.

Cons: Same Engineering Sample screen on boot, system takes 3-5 minutes to post, no updates available.

Overall Review: Notified MSI via technical support online submission, hoping they will get on this bios update. Have MSE 05 loaded, noticed a little wavey line on picture, going to reroute their video output cable away from my Theatrix 550 card. Will post follow-up after MSI reports back to me. Hoping for the best.

Pros: Small and lightweight. Minimal improvement over my spinners.

Cons: Maybe it cut 10 seconds off my boot times, but once Windows 8.1 is loaded I do not notice any change in performance at all. In fact, since the software recommended I turn off some features, indexing being one of them, that could harm the drive, now if I have to search for a file or folder, it takes 3-4 times as long to run a search.

Overall Review: From all the hype of these devices I had hoped for more, perhaps this P67 chipset doesn't work well with the SSDs. I installed a different branded SSD into my son's Z68 chipset and his boots way faster and he is very happy with the speed boost, on mine, hardly a difference. YMMV

Pros: You can access the cameras via any smartphone or computer system. This is called P2P, see the cons for P2P systems.

Cons: 1) This P2P access potentially poses security risks to your network, a web search recommends creating a VPN tunnel to separate the camera system off your home network so it doesn't snoop and give away your wireless credentials and other information, if you Google P2P and CCTV you will find numerous reports on the threats, this is relatively new and people take the ease of access for granted. 2) The unit only records D1 on 2 of the 16 possible channels, it is NOT full D1, the rest are in CIF, a very low resolution either of which would be worthless to use as evidence in the event you were robbed. There are many HD options out there now, and you can build an HD system for far less than the asking price of this system and get upgrades like PTZ added, even at the last discounted price you could have a yourself a HD NVR and 4 IP PTZ 720P cameras for about the same amount. 3) The cameras do not perform well in low light situation or when temps start to drop below freezing, my older 1/4 Sharp cameras with 33% less IR LEDs can see much better at night compared to these included cameras. This might be due to these units having 940nM IR and the Sharp using 850nM IR LEDs.

Overall Review: After dealing with the poor illumination of these cameras I started to research the web and found many sites having individual components of much greater quality that can be pieced together to build yourself a more robust system. That there is no sense whatsoever using the CIF or D1 cameras or DVRs when the HD DVR and the IP systems are well within the reach if you shop around. I am going to take a hit and sell this system off on the web and build at minimum a 720P system with PTZ, pan-tilt-zoom, so 1 camera can view multiple locations and give me options if I am viewing at the time to zoom in or follow those who would steal from me and be able to collect evidence that is courtroom approved. They have auto tracking systems and much more elaborate options, but would surpass the budget of most who would shop for such protection and be for the professional installer.

Pros: Ability to detect many of the current laser and radar devices used in the field. Less false alarms, actually the Pro68SE it replaced squawked all the time compared to this unit with all the false alarms.

Cons: User manual had many pages about all the technology, very little on actually changing the settings, just a little table and I had to just wing it.

Overall Review: These units need profiles, so you can change settings based on areas you drive in.

Pros: A step up from my HD 6850... Had to buy a new card for my kids new rig, so gave him mine and took the new card since I stream through HDMI to a 1080P wall mount.

Cons: If I watch any streaming video, Netflix, Justin.TV, it occasionally glitches out audio on HDMI, and 2 times that glitch turned into steady sound and Win7 had to recover the display driver. Had cat 11.12 loaded for previous HD 6850 card, uninstalled, reloaded, tried 12.1A, same issue. This card seems to run plenty warm and others claim 10-20c cooler idle temps, others here report similar temps as mine though...

Overall Review: After loading GPU-Z to monitor the card during an episode the rate of episodes has decreased. Installed the Trixx utility and disabled ULPS, increased voltage to 1200, and placed fan control onto custom, was running 56c at idle, now 49c. Perhaps the card was getting warm after 4-6 hours of watching streaming video but that is far from stressing the card as it was using 3% of the GPU. If it continues to glitch I may be forced to return this card, I would get plenty upset if they tried to charge me $40 for a game I would never play which clearly states on the box is FREE...
