Great for the price
Pros: For the price tag these produce a relatively full, rich sound. The bass is strong, even a bit boomy. The package is attractive, with cables of adequate length. The addition of AUX input is pretty cool - I can switch over to my MP3 if I want without unplugging from the PC.
Cons: The main speakers are quite light. This doesn't affect their output, but it means that doing anything to them requires two hands: one to do the work while the second anchors the speaker. Even turning the volume is tough without pushing it off the back of the desk.
Overall Review: The crossover of the bass/treble controls seems ill-matched to the speakers' envelope. You'll probably need to use an equalizer in your PC to get the output frequencies balanced well.
Pros: Works just fine with my PocketPC; good price.
Cons: The claimed range is bunk. Expect like 15 feet. But that's what you should expect from any Bluetooth device.
Overall Review: For ActiveSync with a PocketPC do not install the included software. The stuff built into XP (maybe others too) works fine, and I couldn't get the 3rd party thing to work at all.
DOA piece of junk
Pros: It did not injure me in the process of discovering that it was dead.
Cons: It's DOA.
Overall Review: If TrendNet replaces it, I'll revise this review. But until then...
Pretty good keyboard
Pros: Good key feel Scroll wheel is a great idea Lots of extra function keys Reasonable price
Cons: Many function keys aren't configurable Not all multimedia keys work with all players
Overall Review: This is replacing a fancy new Logitech diNovo Edge, because I hate the trend to soft keys with short throws. With the BTC you know what you're typing, touch typists needn't worry about accidentally typing when the feel the keys. The config software is a little lame. Many keys can't be reconfigured. Notably, the Sleep key is right next to Play/Pause, so it's easy to accidentally go to sleep.
Has 4 extra pins
Pros: It supplies power.
Cons: If you have an older ATX-style motherboard, check it before buying. This PS has the newer-style connector for the MB with 4 extra pins. Usually you can just let these extra hang over the edge, but you might have other connectors or memory in the way. Be sure there's extra space on the side of the connector.
Does its job
Pros: Handles load well - I've got a PC w/ 2 HD, 2DVD, 1 CRT and 1 LCD. This seems to use less than 1/2 capacity. Outlets spaced well with room for a couple wall-warts.
Cons: The management software is dismal. It doesn't do a whole lot (although it does offer management functions for remote machines, which I don't care about). It seems to add appreciably to my boot time.
