Solid Card
Pros: Quiet card and solid performance for the $125 price. Runs fairly cool during longer gaming sessions.
Cons: Moving up from and 8600GT, the card was a little longer then expected. Due to my case style I have to shuffle the hard drives to make room.
Overall Review: Tested in various games with an average frame rate of ~75 FPS. Reached a high of 165FPS in Company of Heroes at 1680x1050 with all settings at max. Did see some frame rates around 20 - 25 fps in some games but was unable to determine what caused this. No stuttering or graphic tearing was seen. Set up with an AMD X2 5600+ (2.9ghz) and 4gb (2x2gb) Crucial DDR2-800.
Works as intended
Pros: Works as intended with no issues showing as of yet.
Cons: None at this time.
Overall Review: The cables seemed a little stiff at first but were plenty flexible for my needs. Out of 2 cables, I had 1 connector that was a slight bit loose. This was the connection to the back of the cable HD box. Nothing serious but not as solid as the other connections. I attribute this to the box design and not the cable. Shipping was done by DHL, received the items a lot faster then expected with a free shipping offer. Will be ordering a couple more of these to complete my needs.
Good Mobo
Pros: Computer posted on first try and gave no problems when completing the rebuild. No updates or special needs were required to get anything running on the board side.
Cons: I wish it had 4 memory slots instead of 2 and the option for SLI. Then again, that would be a different board.
Overall Review: Purchased along with an X2 5600+ (2.9ghz) 65 watt, 4gb Crucial DDR2-800 (2x2gb) and a 9800GT. Using an Antec SmartPower 500 watt PSU. Computer has been running 36 hours with random game sessions. No problems found as of the time this was written. Note: Overclocking has not been attempted at this time.
