Great gaming monitor, LG quality control continue to impress me.

LG 27GL650F-B 27" Full HD 1920 x 1080 1ms (MBR) 144 Hz HDMI, DisplayPort AMD FreeSync NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor
LG 27GL650F-B 27" Full HD 1920 x 1080 1ms (MBR) 144 Hz HDMI, DisplayPort AMD FreeSync NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor

Pros: No backlight bleed No dead pixels No dirty screen effect No ghosting NIce colors Excellent viewing angles 144hz Solid stand Not a curved screen (might be con for some, but not for me)

Cons: Blacks not as deep as VA panels IPS Glow 1080p at 27" is good for gaming, not productivity (in general, not only this monitor)

Overall Review: Bought three of theses to go with a racing simulator cockpit. Being the guy who always receive screens with defects, I was quite worried to order three at the same time. I'm very picky with monitors, and the first thing I do when I receive a new one is to start deadpixelbuddy to look for screen inconsistencies, dead pixels and backlignt bleed, followed by the UFO test. I usually end up returning a couple panels before finding one that is good. To give you an idea, I returned 2x3 screens from a different brand (who all had dead pixels / backlight bleed) before buying theses LG screen. My main screen is the biggest brother 32gk850f, and my experience with it is very good, so I tried LG again. To my surprise, all three screens I received have none of the problems I usually detect right away. Either I was quite lucky for once, or LG quality control is better that every other (many) manufacturer I tried over the years... On the actual screen now, I did not run the colorimeter yet to see if the 99% srgb claim is true, but colors are nice and not overly saturated so far. This will probably improve a bit once calibrated, but it is very good out of the box. I'm used to 144hz now and could not go back to 60hz for gaming, and this IPS panel only exhibit a small amount of trailing behind the ufo test, wich is nice for fast paced games like racing sim. Viewing angles are as good as they can be. Monitor stand, even if I wont use them is sturdy and even pivot. Overall very nice monitors!

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Graphics Card GV-N2070GAMING-8GC

Pros: Silent under load Excellent performance (when it works)

Cons: Card failed after 5 months of use Refurbished warranty limited to 90 days

Overall Review: First time I experience a GPU failure, and of course I'm out of warranty when it happens. The refurbished warranty offered by gigabyte is simply too short and you should consider to buy a new card to get the full 3 years warranty. Do not make the same mistake I did to save a couple of bucks!
