Quiet and Cool

FSP Group ZEN 400 400W Fanless ATX 2.2V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
FSP Group ZEN 400 400W Fanless ATX 2.2V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I needed to build a dead silent media pc for our bedroom. I replaced the stock PS in an Antec NSK2400 case with this ZEN unit. The system has been powered on 24/7 for almost a year now. The system temperature is usually 29C, and the only thing you ever hear is the hard drives or optical drives.

Cons: Expensive, but worth it for my application.

Overall Review: I'd certainly buy another or recommend it for a system that requires a quiet, cool PS.

As expected

MASSCOOL PCI Card, 4 internal SATA Model XWT-RC040
MASSCOOL PCI Card, 4 internal SATA Model XWT-RC040

Pros: Inexpensive. Adds 4 internal SATA headers.

Cons: As noted by previous reviewers, it is only SATA I. And you need to reflash the BIOS to use a big hard drive. And flashing the BIOS requires making a floppy boot disk. But I knew all of that before I bought this card.

Overall Review: I'm glad I read the previous reviews, so I wasn't in for any surprises with this card. I had run out of SATA headers in my home server box, and this was an inexpensive way to get 4 more, although they're only SATA I, and you have to do a lot of gymnastics to reflash the BIOS.

Limited thermostat range

Soleus Air HGW-308R-W Wall Mounted Micathermic Heater with Remote Control
Soleus Air HGW-308R-W Wall Mounted Micathermic Heater with Remote Control

Pros: Very good price. Looks nice. Mounts on wall or uses wheels for portability.

Cons: Thermostat range is only 59 to 80 degrees Farenheit.

Overall Review: It's difficult to find out the thermostat range for most digital electric space heaters. It typically isn't listed on the manufacturers' product pages. I bought this one to heat my wine cellar in the winter. The cellar stays at about 55 degrees naturally most of the year, but it gets down below 50 sometimes in the winter, so I wanted to be able to keep it back at 55 on those cold days. This was such a bargain that I'm going to keep it and use it as a space heater elsewhere, but it won't work for the application I intended.
