Great case

ENERMAX Ostrog GT ECA3280A-BL Black / Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
ENERMAX Ostrog GT ECA3280A-BL Black / Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: this is about my 20th build. This case is outstanding. Well engineered and solid construction.

Cons: Not really a con but rather more of a suggestion. I had to install the fans for my liquid cooling on the top of the case. The case is designed to accommodate this with one exception. I had to cut a hole in the top in order to route the fan cables.

Overall Review: the service from Enermax is world class. the front headphone jack broke the day I completed installation. I phoned Enermax and expected a long hold and a typical run around. To my surprise, I got right through and was immediately transferred to the correct person to handle the problem. He sent me a replacement part (overnight). Enermax...........you have my vote as case manufacturer of the year. And you have gained a very loyal customer who will encourage others to use your products.

USB 3.0 extensions

Coboc CY-U3-AAMF-6-BK 6ft SuperSpeed 5Gbps USB 3.0 A Male to A Female Extension Cable,Gold Plated,Black,M-F
Coboc CY-U3-AAMF-6-BK 6ft SuperSpeed 5Gbps USB 3.0 A Male to A Female Extension Cable,Gold Plated,Black,M-F

Pros: I purchased 5 of these. 3, 6 ft, 1, 10 ft and 1, 15 ft. all appear to be good solid construction with the exception of the cable ends. in my opinion the plastic strain relief should shroud the entire connector.

Cons: since buying these and doing a lot of post purchase research, I have come to the conclusion that using an extension cable with 3.0 pretty much negates 3.0 and sets it back to 2.0 or even 1.1 speeds. My western digital passport is slower than dirt on the 6 ft cable I connected it to. I see now that others have complained about this. WEB cam quality is severely degraded connected to the 15 ft one. I don't believe this is necessarily the fault of this brand cable, but rather usb 3.0 in general.

Logitech C920 USB 2.0 certified (USB 3.0 ready) HD Pro Webcam
Logitech C920 USB 2.0 certified (USB 3.0 ready) HD Pro Webcam

Pros: Bought this for a new computer build. My old C900 is now back on my old computer as back-up. Excellent quality, Logitech did a good job of including a camera mount on this model. It took me 2 hours to make a mount for my c900. Software and drivers for the c920 are far more stable in WIN7 64 bit than for the C900.

Cons: None
