Fast card, good price
Pros: This card has a 7.9 out of 7.9 rating on Windows 7. Plays all modern games on maxed settings while maintaining very high FPS, even with vertical sync enabled. This card also generates upwards of 25,000 points per day on Folding@home. This card also stays cool. At 100% sustained usage (waaaaaay beyond what even the most intensive games hold the GPU at), this card hangs around 156 degrees Fahrenheit when the computer is at room temperature (around 74 degrees F).
Cons: The heatsink fixture is bigger than on most cards, even with respect to other similar cards, so make sure you have enough space in your case.
Overall Review: Highly recommended.
Overall Great
Pros: + The onboard debugging LEDs are amazingly useful, should you need them - Should the memory or CPU fail (or be DOA), the motherboard will clearly tell you which is malfunctioning so that you don't need to guess + UEFI BIOS (both a pro and con) + Overclocking couldn't be easier + Everything simply works as it should + It is extremely well engineered and thoughtfully designed - The ease of use is there for those who just want something that works but the advanced options are still easily accessible for those who want to tweak their rig and overclock to the max
Cons: + UEFI BIOS - If you are buying this motherboard for a server that will be running the open source Xen hypervisor, you should know that the current stable build of Xen will likely not allow the host operating system to access all of your physical memory on any machine with a UEFI BIOS. However, support for UEFI BIOS is included in the unstable build and will (hopefully) be in the stable build one day. If none of that made sense to you, ignore it... it will not affect you.
Overall Review: Highly recommended.
Blazing fast
Pros: If you're putting together a high performance rig and $300 is within your price range, you've found your match. Honestly, there's not a whole lot more to say. This thing is wicked fast and I have not had a single issue with it to date. Simple as that.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Highly recommended.
Simply the best
Pros: The speeds you see listed in the technical description are not misleading. They are very close to the speeds that you can actually achieve with this SSD. Any Linux distribution cold boots within about 5 seconds after the POST. Windows 7 cold boots within about 10 seconds after the POST. I have had this drive over a month and have not seen a single reallocation event or reallocated block. This is a testament to the longevity and reliability of Corsair Force SSDs. I have another SSD of the same series but much greater capacity in my laptop that I've had for a lot longer and that one has only had 1 reallocation event which consisted of 1 reallocated block.
Cons: Price. SSDs still have a ways to go before they're matching the $/GB ratios of mechanical drives.
Overall Review: Great overall SSD. I would (and probably will) buy this product again at some point (or at least a product from the same line). Highly recommended.
Works as advertised
Pros: This product is exactly what it seems: fast and reliable. I often run multiple virtual machines on my desktop which, in total, consistently consume (along with the host operating system) about 15.5 GB of the available 16 GB for hours on end. I have not had a single hiccup in the ~1 month that I've owned this memory. I've put it to the test in both a gaming environment and a much more computationally intensive environment with no signs of slowing down.
Cons: None so far.
I'm very happy with this thing
Pros: I've had water cooling in the past and it was simply not worth the effort it took to periodically replace the coolant. This little guy is the exception. This thing is fantastically simple to install and it works wonderfully. I have an LGA 2011 i7-3820 and at 100% sustained CPU usage at room temperature (around 74 degrees Fahrenheit), my CPU hangs around 140 degrees. The fact that you never need to change out the coolant is one of the best features, though. This thing combines the ease of maintenance of air cooling solutions with the effectiveness of liquid cooling solutions at a great price.
Cons: None so far.
