good drives, bad packing

Pros: I've been using WD RE3 and now RE4 for some time now in my server. They have been great. I bought four for a Raid "10" setup and so far they have been working well (second day).
Cons: The experience shipping these with Newegg has severly disturbed my calm and has effected my feelings about Newegg. Bought on Friday, I called customer support and asked that the drives not be shipped until Monday. I could tell the customer svc person didn't do anything and sure enough they were shipped on Friday. When I received them the box had clearly been dropped on one end. When I opened the box I found ALL the craft paper was on TOP of the hard drives. The drives themselves were at the very bottom of the box in a foam device and well wrapped in buble wrap, but I would have packed that box so that the craft paper would have kept the drives in the middle of the box. It would not be a difficult task and it was clear that the person packing the either did not care or was not well trained.
Overall Review: I have been a Newegg customer for a couple of decades. I bet I started with them not so long after they launched. While they ship fast, this is not the first time I have had concerns about how items are packed. This experience has created significant doubt about my desire to remain a loyal customer.
huh?

Pros: Nice, but rather large. I like the ME licensing.
Cons: The N7 on the gel pad is simply a decal on fabric. I bought this on 5/8 and had it on 5/11. It's been decaying for days now. The N is gone and most of the 7 and it's only 5/19. That is unacceptable and I expect this is common and known.
Overall Review: Cheesy ME applique on gel pad decays rapidly. A different decision on the ME applique for the gel pad needs to be made.
SATA 2 only

Pros: fair card
Cons: The manual and data sheet specify that it only supports SATA 2. It is six gig only for SAS.
Eggs good, milk bad.

Pros: Excellent product. Thank you Newegg for another quality product. Eggs worked perfectly, at least when my girlfriend cooked them. I am not so skilled at the culinary arts.
Cons: My girlfriend did an great job cooking up the three eggs over easy, but I forgot to check the date on the milk. Our stomachs ended up having multiple blue screens that morning.
Overall Review: Don't forget, RT*M.
Quick but picky

Pros: Quick, low voltage. Lower latencies than many other 1600mhz DRAM. Fatal1ty branding goes with my Creative Labs SB X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty PCIe Sound Card.
Cons: This DRAM and my Asus M4A87TD/USB3 just do not get along on auto settings. It's wise to check out the OCZ forums to learn how to set the timings correctly. I expect that I am close to a stable setting now after two months of efforts. The most significant setting is "Set CPU/NB Offset Voltage to { +0.1 to +0.25 volts }" Right now I am at listed latency and timing for the memory at an offset voltage of .168750.
Overall Review: Auto settings with this memory and my Asus board results in a very unstable computer. I will be curious as to if I buy another four gigs of this memory, if I will need to push the CPU/NB offset voltage further in order to have a stable computer.
ACK!

Pros: I've owned a lot of Asus motherboards. It's been years since I've owned anything else. Right now my HTPC is using a M3A78-T. I was running a M3A78 in my main computer. That just counting the motherboards I'm using now. Layout is nice and pretty much ideal for my needs
Cons: One heck of a sketchy motherboard. Blue Screens at the drop of a hat, then other times will run for hours without problem. Loves to Blue Screen in the morning. I've been battling with it for almost a month now and I am not exactly happy with it. Will replace it, would rather stay with Asus but I'm feeling spurned by Asus and am wondering if the grass is greener over by Gigabyte.
