Pros: It works within the advertised specs.
Cons: - overly sensitive adjustment knob
- glass may impact sensitivity
Overall Review: It works within the advertised specs. The OUT pin is pulled up to 5V. So if you want to use with Raspberry Pi you need at minimum a voltage divider with 2 resistors to lower it to what the GPIO can handle at around 3V. For those extra careful an optocoupler or magnetic coupler would be great option. Obviously you will have to detect in your code a falling edge to properly handle the motion detection. At 5V Arduino users do not have this problem and can directly connect it to the GPIO.
In my case I found the sensitivity knob not very helpful. I can use it at almost maximum sensitivity, turned all the way counterclockwise. I managed to detect motion at about 12m with this setting. Trying to set down the knob decreases the sensitivity too much in my case. I also noticed glass made items in nearby proximity are having a negative impact on the sensitivity.
Pros: -Very good
Overall Review: Got it for a desktop computer. Since these are made for Supermicro servers I had to adapt it. It is probably the only reason I would not recommend this to everybody. If you are willing to do some work to adapt this for your case then go for it. Other than that they match the Supermicro specs and it is supermicro quality. I would buy it again in the future.
EDIT: Yep, excellent quality. Still going strong after more than 1 year.
Overall Review: This was excellent for my needs. You need to read carefully the specs before jumping to buy it though. It needs a proprietary front panel cable, for reset, power on, etc. It has a good fan, not very noisy and powerful enough. You can slide the motherboard tray to easily access ports/jumpers/etc. The case is generally good quality, good cuts and overall good materials. The HDD trays are well built without the problems other manufactures have. This goes back to reading the spec. This case is small, so please check carefully what clearance you have before buying. I did my homework and I knew all of these before buying it, including what heatsink the CPU will have, how big it it will be, etc.
Pros: -good reliability
Overall Review: Been using them for almost 2 years and they still seem to work great. Worth to mention is I messed with them only 2 or 3 times when I had to replace some HDD, but other than that they worked under no excess stress conditions. This probably helps with current reliability. Definitely recommend them for non-production builds.
Pros: -Perfect size for my hand
-Braided usb cable
Cons: - DOA
Overall Review: I find this mildly funny, but this is the first DOA mouse I ever had. Tried to make it work in 3 computers, Windows 7 on my laptops and Linux on my desktop, with and without the drivers from Rosewill website. Nothing worked. After installing the Rosewill drivers the light pattern changed but the mouse was still dead like a brick. I really love the look of this mouse and the very important fact that it fits my hand so well, hence 2 stars instead of one. I really wanted this to work. It has extra buttons placed ergonomically enough for you to want to use them. The Newegg RMA service is great and I am returning it now. I wish I had the option somehow to replace it since I hope this was just an unlucky instance.
I keep wondering if electronics shopping nowadays became some sort of a lottery, where you hope whatever you buy will actually function as it should.
Pros: - Relatively reliable
- Good storage for transfer things around
- good newegg deal
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Once I figured out they are somehow reliable, I got a few of these every time newegg run a sale of some kind. They are very useful for transferring my files around. The lanyard mount is kind of useless imho, but I do not care much about it anyway.
Pros: -USB 3.0 performance
-Metal casing for better heat dissipation
-Good design also allows for a lanyard
-Good newegg deal
Overall Review: Definitely recommended. I get very good W/R results, very close to USB 3.0 standard. I love the metal casing which cools it down faster than other models.
Pros: It works great.
Cons: none yet
Pros: Ok, and it does the job.
Cons: none do far
Pros: Simple, small and it works. Also kinda of cute for the ones who are paying attention to this kind of things.
Cons: Construction seem not top notch, but hard to beat it at this price.
Overall Review: very good for the price tag
Pros: Good for the price. Not for the serious audiophile. They fold and pack nicely.
Cons: Although they fold nicely extra hinged parts adds more possible breaking points. Mine broke but I managed to fix them somehow. Still very good product for the price.
Pros: Pretty good. I bought it as an additional battery backup during my travel and it was quite useful. Like many I own a few mobile devices for which the battery started to show signs of old age. I did not plan to buy new ones before my trip and hence this little backup proved to be useful. I also used it as a flash light a few time. A good investment for the price imho.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: It runs a little bit hot and because of this I never leave it unattended.
Pros: Nice aluminum box.
Cons: This looks like an excellent idea for people like me who still own some old IDE HDDs and want to put them to some use. In my defense I ordered in the past other SYBA items and they all worked fine. Therefore I never had to deal with SYBA customer support before. First delivered item was a pre-owned and heavily used one. That was the first bad surprise. Newegg issued the RMA and they replaced it. Hence my one star for Newegg for doing their part right and keep their customers happy. The next one I was unable to make it work with any of my IDE HDDs. And yes, my HDDs are working fine, I did check the cables before usage, etc. The next interesting surprise was trying to contact SYBA customer support. Their website seems to be in need of a major update. My attempt to contact them apparently went through but needles to say you have a much better chance to get an answer back from a quija board that SYBA. Overall a major waste of time.
Overall Review: I usually find it very hard to post negative reviews, and this is the first one I post on Newegg, but this product totally deserve it. In case word will come from the world beyond and SYBA will communicate somehow with me I will update this review. Hmm, just in case I should probably buy a quija board.
Pros: Very good for the sale price. Got a few ADATA USB sticks and I like how they are built. Not the best quality that it is out there but sturdy enough to withstand a normal day to day usage. Same I can say about the tech specs. I have very good results with all ADATA USB flash drives. I got the 64GB version on a sale and as expected I am pleased with this one also.
Cons: None so far for this price.
Overall Review: Yes, it could have been better, and actually there are some better ones on the market one can buy. But it is hard to beat this for the actual price.
Pros: Just a few words:
I kept this for more than a month expecting something bad to happen. After all it was a refurbished product and it has a shorter waranty as well. Nothing bad so far. I owned a Nexus7 for a while and I obviously compared with that. Is no secret Nexus has a better harware, but I could barely notice this. Is true gaming is not the main task I use this tablet for, although I do play ocasionally. The screen is larger than my previous Nexus and this makes it a big win. I can read better and most of my work has been considerably improved. The stylus is amazing. First it is much more efficient to use a stylus instead of just your finger. Everything you do you do it faster and with more precision. On top of that this has pressure sensitivity which opens up the scene for some very neat apps. After this tablet I do not think I will ever buy a tablet without a stylus ever.
Battery last a little bit less than my Nexus, which was expectable, but again this is not a serious problem. I was in doubt about Samsung apps, but now I have to admit some are quite nice. The interface is designed to improve productivity and it didn't take much to get used with it.
Cons: A better battery would make this even better. A longer warranty would be nice too. The "back" comes in your way when you write and you can touch it by mistake like 98% of the time. However turning the tablet sideways solves this issue.
Pros: Nothing more to say here than others already did. I just wanted to confirm that it is a good v-card.
Cons: They grow obsolete quite quick?
Pros: Very good quality!
Overall Review: I tested it in a few scenarios with my APC 1500 and it keeps running with excellent power output. Battery arrived very well packed and intact.
Pros: They seem to do a good job.
Cons: none so far.
Pros: They do the job
Cons: connectors a little flimsy, but if you don't yank them everyday (and why would you?) they should be fine.
Pros: Got this as an upgrade to my laptop computer connection. Gigabit makes a big difference in transfer rate. It works as advertised, ports are automatically turned off when no used and it detects 10/100/1000, etc.
Overall Review: I owned a few Netgear products over the years and none of the disappointed me. I hope this one will prove reliable like all the others.
Pros: They are good media. I can not recall a Verbatim media that failed on me. These are like expected good and got me no coasters so far.
Pros: They are pretty good for what they are designed. I used mine to get the cables around my office out of the way. You can run like 3 ethernet cables through one.
Cons: Careful when you glue them. They are made from quite thin plastic and you have to press like 30s on them. If you are not careful you might end up breaking it.
Pros: Works very well. There are no problems and performance is good. Configuration does require some work in the case you want more than just adding some extra SATA HDD on your system. But this is pretty much expected for any RAID.
Overall Review: pretty bad they are out of stock now.
Pros: Fast, Error correction boost, SMART, 5 year warranty
Cons: still a SSD, but the error correction and SMART will boost your confidence.
Overall Review: Not the cheapest, but nevertheless one of the best deals if you value quality.
Pros: Full of cool features and they all work great.
Cons: For passive cooling you might want to consider changing the stock H77 heatsink with something better.
Overall Review: Intel quality. I for one I am sorry Intel is leaving the mobo scene.
