Pros: 1) Cost 2) Ease of installation 3) Good Packaging 4) Retail product for a few $ more provides everything you need.

Cons: 1) It is louder than I hoped but it seems all drives at these speeds are any more. 2) Software bundling with partial cripple-ware. You have to buy "add-ons" to get full functionality.

Overall Review: I bought this drive to replace the OEM drive that came in my D*LL after it bit the dust. Did not want to spend $100 on a drive since I knew I would not be using it for burning that much. I have owned previous Phillips lines of burners and know they have good quality, life and support. If you are looking for an affordable replacement, this is a very good choice. Newegg service is the best around. Processing and shipment times are incredibily fast and I never have a complaint about their packaging.
