Good choice for any AM2/+ processor

MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Very Stable, even with insufficient power supply(being remedied as we speak). The upgrade to this board from the nvidia 7050/630a board I had before gave a visible performance boost, even with my venerable old x2 4200+. The Package contents were excellent, everything you need and then some. Highly upgradeable, and very future proof as long as AMD stays around.

Cons: Hmmmm.........I gotta think..... It went out of stock shortly after I bought it?

Overall Review: Thought about waiting for the sb700 version, but decided there may not be that much of a performance gain, just 2 more SATAs, and a couple more USB2 ports. Not to mention I still have a few IDE drives running. Waiting for either B3 Phenom or the phenom black edition before processor upgrade. Athlon X2 4200+, MSI K9a2 Platinum, 4GB (2x2) G.Skill DDR2 800 ram CL5 1.8v, MSI Diamond Radeon HD2600xt 256mb DDR4(need an upgrade), 160GB Seagate 7200.10 SATA2 HDD, 400W Rosewill PSU(soon to be 700W Raidmax), old Raidmax case(unsure of model).

Ok, but not good for 12v hungry system

RAIDMAX RX-700SS 700 W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Modular LED Power Supply
RAIDMAX RX-700SS 700 W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Modular LED Power Supply

Pros: Well, it powers on, and keeps the computer running. I'm sure under different setup circumstances I wouldn't have any issues at all. The fan is fairly quiet and it does stay cool under heavy load.

Cons: I don't know if others have the same problem. But mine has weak 12v rail output. The 15w difference between my processor running at 2.3ghz and 2.6ghz causes the PSU to start to fail under full heavy system load. Since I upgraded to a more 12v amperage hungry video card, I've had problems with the 12v rail dropping well below atx spec output, it's showing only 8.096v on the 12v rails through everest.

Overall Review: This PSU may work fine for anyone who doesn't run a lot of case fans or HDD's and optical drives. Use of discrete PCI soundboards and raid controllers might also help since those draw off the 3.3v current on the pci slots. Where as any motherboard accessories such as built in sound run off the 12v rails.

Many issues involved with redeeming this Bundle

Q3’24 AMD 2-Game Bundle
Q3’24 AMD 2-Game Bundle

Pros: It's free games with your purchased products...

Cons: It's iffy whether the code newegg sends you will properly validate when running the validation tool.

Overall Review: Notice I also attached the page from the campaign terms that lists eligible products. And Yes, RX 7000 series graphics cards are eligible for the promo bundle, except for the RX 7600.

Nice CPU for a budget gaming system

AMD Ryzen 5 5500 - Ryzen 5 5000 Series Cezanne (Zen 3) 6-Core 3.6 GHz Socket AM4 65W No Integrated Graphics Desktop CPU Processor - 100-100000457BOX
AMD Ryzen 5 5500 - Ryzen 5 5000 Series Cezanne (Zen 3) 6-Core 3.6 GHz Socket AM4 65W No Integrated Graphics Desktop CPU Processor - 100-100000457BOX

Pros: Low Price Performs well enough in most games to keep most lower end graphics cards fed at 1080p Easy to keep cool

Cons: Doesn't pair well with very high end GPU's May be a bottleneck in a few high CPU demanding titles

Overall Review: Great low price CPU for a budget starter gaming PC. Pairs well with anything equivalent to about an RX6650XT or lower. But will start to act as a bottleneck with higher end GPU's even at higher resolutions. Relatively easy to keep cool, even with a low profile cooler in a miniITX build.

Great Value and Performance for the price

AMD Ryzen 5 3rd Gen - RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000031BOX Desktop Processor
AMD Ryzen 5 3rd Gen - RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000031BOX Desktop Processor

Pros: 6 cores 12 threads of processing power. All for a reasonable price. Stable platform to build from for the foreseeable future, with lots of upgrade potential.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Good for an entry level work station, and great for a mid range Gaming build that can be upgraded down the road.

Good Flash drive for the price

SAMSUNG 128GB BAR Plus (Metal) USB 3.1 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 400MB/s (MUF-128BE3/AM)
SAMSUNG 128GB BAR Plus (Metal) USB 3.1 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 400MB/s (MUF-128BE3/AM)

Pros: Faster than my other USB 3.1 Flash drives.

Cons: None that I could find.

Overall Review: If you're in need of a decent size flash drive for moving large files between systems, I'd recommend this one. Great price for a 128GB Flash drive.

Decent Seller, but damaged packaging

Item received on time, but packaging was damaged. No manual or paperwork was included with the SSD. Thankfully the drive was fully functional and not damaged itself.
