Just like the 1TB EADS but twice as big

Pros: capacity, low power consumption
Cons: cost, speed
Overall Review: Generally, I'd recommend this for NAS or DVR if it's in your budget, but not as a primary drive for gamers. I bought this for a Ubuntu/Samba home server that I put in a MSI Wind case. I held off on buying a hard disk, because I heard the buzz about the 2TB EADS about to hit the market, and I was reading the buzz about the Seagate failures at the time. I had the NAS server all set up on a CF drive a few weeks before this drive came out, and I was anxiously waiting for this to be released. I bought it on day 1. I've had it for about 3 weeks with no issues so far. It performs just like the 1TB EADS but with twice the capacity. My plan is to add a 2nd one once the price drops below $180 or so for RAID-1 so I won't lose my photos and camcorder videos if a disk fails. If this holds up like my three 1TB EADS have, I'll be pleased, but I figure might as well play it safe with RAID-1 and get a 2nd one, hopefully soon.
Utterly Frustrating and Infurating

Pros: Cheap
Cons: I had a previous Panasonic model that I loved, but this one leaves stragglers galore. It took me 10 minutes to shave with this when it took about 4 before. You have to go over the same patch again and again to get them all, and later in the day you still notice stragglers that you missed.
Overall Review: This was up with a rebate a while ago where it was only $5. Even at that price I was angry because I couldn't return the piece of junk with the UPC removed. I slammed it in the trash where it belongs. Panasonic shavers are fine, but this one stay away from.
My New Favorite Router

Pros: Reception is top notch. Great for if you have a home server and want to access your files with 1000M LAN. DD-WRT install was a breeze. I used to recommend the bulletproof Linksys WRT54GL to friends, but this is my new favorite router.
Cons: A bit large, but not annoyingly so.
Overall Review: I had been trying to find a dd-wrt compatible router that had 1000M LAN for quite some time. This was the only one that I could find that didn't have horrible reviews. I am really satisfied with it.
Outdated

Pros: Works great on WEP after an annoying initial installation. No daily reboot like some other models.
Cons: There is no WPA2 support because the firmware has not been updated since 2005.
good for NAS

Pros: Low power, cheap, plenty for NAS. I was initially looking at a Via board and case, but this all-in-one solution made more sense and ends up cheaper.
Cons: Only 2 SATA ports. Mounting a 3.5" HD with a conversion bracket in the 5.25" bay bumps up against the power plug to the mboard, which is a tight fit but it works. Soft RAID only.
