Someone is confused
Pros: Fast and quiet
Cons: They are not Free. :-)) WD needs to up the warranty to 5 years to compete with Seagate.
Overall Review: "WD is now putting drm on their drives that disables all media such as movies or mp3s. Google for it. Really disappointing. " This poster is confused, this is only for their 1TB My Book drives This does not apply to the hard drives themselves, but rather the software running in the My Book enclosure. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/peripherals/western-digital-1tb-mybook-drives-infested-with-drm-331320.php
USB 2.0?
Pros: Core i5 3330 and 8gb memory
Cons: USB 2.0?, are you kidding me, that's like getting a cassette deck in a new car, what a joke. My gosh how much more is USB 3.0 as a manufacturing cost, talk about cutting corners.
Overall Review: No wonder PC sales are in a dive, Give us USB 3.0 as standard equipment!!!!! Now I have to buy a usb 3.0 card, grrrrr. Under Specifications, "Speaker Features" "16.93" x 14.49" x 6.89" must be a description mistake.
Newegg Details are wrong
Pros: Great Price
Cons: Newedd detail;s says: "This OEM System Builder Channel software requires the assembler to provide end user support for the Windows software and cannot be transferred to another computer once it is installed. To acquire Windows software with support provided by Microsoft please see our full package "Retail" product offerings." 1. There is no full package retail products for W8, System Builder replaces this for Windows 8 2. If this is true System Builder version, you can transfer the license to another PC. from the Microsoft website: "Can I transfer the software to another computer or user? You may transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you. You may also transfer the software (together with the license) to a computer owned by someone else if a) you are the first licensed user of the software and b) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement. To make that transfer, you must transfer the original media, the certificate of authenticity, the product key and the proof of purchase directly to that other person, without retaining any copies of the software. You may use the backup copy we allow you to make or the media that the software came on to transfer the software. Anytime you transfer the software to a new computer, you must remove the software from the prior computer. You may not transfer the software to share licenses between computers. You may transfer Get Genuine Windows software, Pro Pack or Media Center Pack software only together with the licensed computer." personaluselicense.windows.com/en-US/default.aspx
Overall Review: Newegg, do a better job on the details and product description.
Great laptop for the price
Pros: My unit was super clean, showed absolutely no signs of wear, must have sat in a dock its entire life. I have had it for a year or more and not one problem.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I have upgraded to the T7200 64bit processor, which was fairly easy considering its a laptop. I also installed a faster sata hard drive I had laying around, then installed Windows 7 64bit, this thing runs as good as some core i5's I have owned. I usually don't buy refurb computers, but the reputation of the Thinkpad caused me to buy this unit without hesitation, it will probably outlast my new HP laptop.
More Information
Pros: Not sure what they are due to the poor specifications from Stanley. Its almost a gamble as to the lighting technology used, I assume the old fashioned incandescent bulb with magic pixie dust to make the alkaline batteries last longer.
Cons: So poorly advertised and marketed no wonder it is being clearanced. Stanley should stick to making screwdrivers.
Overall Review: I gave it a two egg due to price and overall design, I am being generous. Does not say if LED or not so I assume not. I did find some more specs using google. "360-Degree Rotational Head for Versatility With this flashlight you'll have unlimited options when it comes to shining the 80-lumen beam onto your work area. A 350-degree rotating head and 120-degree tilt ensure that the light goes exactly where you need it most. This feature also gives you the option of re-positioning the light without having to remove and reclamp it." "Patented Battery Technology for Long Runtime The 95-891 uses patented technology that allows it to take either two or four "C" batteries (not included). The light can run for up to 15 hours with two batteries and up to 30 hours with four batteries. Using four "C" batteries provides extended runtime for all-day jobs."
Best Bang for the $$
Pros: Just listened to these at the Local Best Buy, sounded better than the $200 Beats next to them, great sounding headphone from a brand that is not known for good sound, Skullcandy hit it out of the park on this model. Crisp, clear and very good tight Bass, not muddy like the beats. Needless to say I am very Impressed even at the retail price.
Cons: Looks like the warranty process with Skullcandy is hard core, from the skullcandy website "Your printed warranty confirmation page must be packaged along with your defective product. Failure to do so may result in the voiding of your warranty." Seems a bit harsh, either I have a "Lifetime" warranty or I don't, might be a bust for me to buy this brand. I don't like companies that play warranty games.
Overall Review: Not sure if there is a Lifetime Warranty with skullcandy when purchased from Newegg, emailed Skullcandy and should hear back soon.
