Pros: Works with BSD right out of the box, access point is quick and easy to configure, no complaints. Haven't tried WEP, but unencrypted access is pretty painless.
Cons: Just barely fits inside a Soekris net4511. Wish it had an external antenna.
Overall Review: Couldn't tell you about the included Windows driver and software. Signal strength seems a little low but I have no way to really know, it could be the installation.
Solid once it starts, but super slow to POST
Pros: Runs great once it gets started
Cons: Insanely slow to POST, even with the new BIOS (7B86vAC) that is supposed to speed up boot time. The Windows task manager reports POST times of 80-90 seconds (!!), and it takes about 180 seconds from pressing the power button until the Windows startup logo appears. It doesn't even manage to show any feedback for troubleshooting, in all that time it doesn't manage to get the monitor turned on. As soon as Windows boots, all the hardware runs fine, but something is very wrong in the startup sequence.
Overall Review: If I could get this motherboard to POST in under ten seconds, it'd be a definite buy. As is, I can't recommend it.
Good RAM, bad Newegg
Pros: RAM works great, just as advertised. No problems installing or configuring, a good buy for a slightly older laptop.
Overall Review: Newegg used to have awesome service, really fast shipping, 2-3 days for the cheap option. Now it's up to 6. That's not bad, but you can't count on Newegg's fast shipping any more.
Pros: Pretty much zero configuration, takes maybe 15 seconds from cold start to get fully active, faster than my computer boots. Seems to have no problem with the service I'm paying for, but that doesn't really strain its theoretical max performance.
Cons: Price dropped right after I bought it. Oh well. Also really hard to find its configuration web server, next best thing to impossible, so a firewall is a good idea to have just downstream.
