Well worth it

AMD Wraith MAX CPU Cooler with RGB LED
AMD Wraith MAX CPU Cooler with RGB LED

Pros: I bought an AMD CPU FX-8350 Black Edition that came with the AMD Wraith MAX CPU Cooler with RGB LED. Also, have an AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5 GHz that came with a stock cooler that sounded like a Harrier jet. Replaced the stock cooler with another AMD Wraith MAX CPU Cooler and now it is super quiet even better cooling temperatures highly recommended especially for you out there that like Pretty Lights. The LED ring without a controller I'm assuming you could control the LEDs, will smoothly transition all the way from red to purple to Blue perhaps more colors you would have to look at the specs I did not by the fan for the LED ring but that's all I remember of the colors. Also, the AMD logo on the top left-hand corner will light up not too bright and not dim in color the AMD logo stays one color which is white. I believe they put a lot of thought and effort into it for people that enjoy having cases that display the insides not only for the pleasing lights but for the cooling of the CPU which for me is the most important part. I am quite impressed and I like the fact that it is made by AMD and I don't have to jump on forms looking for an aftermarket cooler that may or may not fit on a Micro ATX.

Cons: Can't think of any other than the LED light ring that changes colors slowly with fades in and fades out actually very pretty but I wouldn't consider that a con

Overall Review: Works great in a fully enclosed environment, I'm not a fan of windows I'm pretty lights I have an intake fan that is hidden on the case and two exhaust fans one on top and one in the back make for a quiet computer especially if you're a home novice home recording studio. Works great in a fully enclosed environment, not a fan of windows and pretty lights I have an intake fan that is hidden on the case and two exhaust fans one on top and one in the back (Thermaltake Versa H17 CA-1J1-00S1NN-00) for both my computer's. Make for a quiet computer especially if you're a home novice home recording studio. Itis a 4 plug-in, so it does vary in speeds quite often but you cannot tell. Prior to changing out the stock fan that came with the six core AMD, you can launch an application and really hear the RPMs rev up like a drunken neighbor working on his car at 3 in the morning, not an issue no more. My temperature and RPMs as I type this are 33 Celsius, and 1442 RPMs, on my AMD CPU FX-8350 (Linux) that is very much equivalent temperatures give or take on what I'm doing for my other computer that runs Windows for only recording software. On a high load I have seen it jump up to roughly to 47 degrees Celsius and to be quite honest I do not remember the RPMs no a hevy load however, I could hear a very small difference in fan speed. This was rendering a 1080p video without accelerated GPU meaning the work loas was done by the CPU processor.

Awesome processor

AMD CPU FX-8350 Black Edition 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ FD8350FRHKHBX Desktop Processor with AMD Wraith Cooler
AMD CPU FX-8350 Black Edition 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ FD8350FRHKHBX Desktop Processor with AMD Wraith Cooler

Pros: The Wraith cooler is super quiet if you like Pretty Lights you'll enjoy that LED ring around it and the AMD logo. Upgraded from AMD FX-6300 6-Core 3.5 GHz to the AMD CPU FX-8350 4.0 GHz I could definitely tell a difference. I'm running a derivative of Ubuntu Linux call KDE Neon. Immediately I could tell the difference even though the six-core AMD FX-6300 was plenty why not try out the FX-8350 Black Edition 4.0 GHz I'm glad I bought it the price was right.

Cons: I can't think of any right now.

Overall Review: I've always stuck with AMD since I got into computers as of right now I'm really glad I did especially with all the vulnerabilities going around with Intel's processors. If I had the choice to buy it again I would if I've needed to recommend basically last year's model of processors this is the Ferrari of last year's model. Definitely, recommend the Wraith cooler it is super quiet and keeps it at a reasonable temperature under a heavy load. I like the Wraith cooler so much I bought it again for my 6 core processor for another computer.

Works great using it for a server OpenMediaVault
