Working Wonderful!
Pros: Have AMD FX-8350 Black Edition, motherboard is in older edition Antec 900 case, running G. Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL (2 x 4GB) memory. Currently, running PNY GeForce GT 710 graphics card. Running Windows 10 Pro. No issues and compatibility. Sept 3, 2018 - Update, had an issue with the Gigabyte motherboard freezing up and shutdown. The issue was not the board; but, the power supply, which was a little older unit. I also, increased the memory from 8 gig to 16 gigusing G.Skill Sniper Gaming Series DDR3 1600 memory. In addition, pulled the CPU cooler and replaced it with Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED Turbo with Black Cover, with dual 120 mm fans, dropped the temps significantly. The Cooler Master has maybe little less than an inch clearance from the Antec 900 side panel.
Cons: None!
Overall Review: Recommend this board - YES! I finally, with the available time, assemble 2nd Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P motherboard, with same processor as the first one. Running G. Skill Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600, 4 sticks 8 Gig each. Running Windows 10 Pro with PNY SSD. This board was a replacement for my older ASRock H77M which crashed. It took a 10th to load windows and the required software. More to follow. This another posting, since Windows 7 is going away next year. I purchase 3rd Gigabyte GA-970-DS3P motherboard with 32 gig G Skill, FX-8350, using a Noctua NH-U9S CPU Cooler, Corsair 750 watt power supply and MSI Radeon RX 570 8G OC graphics card, running Windows 10 Pro. Love the Gigabyte board!
Drive Failure
Pros: Excellent drive, fast no issues until today, when the computer could not access the drive. Laptop proved it was the drive.
Cons: The drive became corrupt after 3 months of ownership. I was going to sent it in; however, I had personal data on the drive, i.e. financial, personal history.
Overall Review: I have 2 - 160 gig and 1 - 250 gig WD Passport, still using them; however, I have always say this never trust the hard drive. I burn data, pics, songs and itunes TV Shows to DVD Disk.
Review is for both the black & the red Hyper 212 LED Turbo models
Pros: I am correcting my comment regarding the Hyper 212 LED Turbo- Red Top Cover is equipped with dual 120mm PWM Fans with red LEDs by Cooler Master, original I posted 3 stars do to a cooling issue with this unit only. Not the Black Top Cover (Which I have 2 of those). I removed the cooler and check for proper paste, turns out a small piece of plastic was still attached. I removed and re-applied Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste and re-attached to the AMD FX-8350, which is running on a Gigabyte GA-970-DS3P motherboard with 32 gigs of memory and the Zotac GeForce 730 card, inside an Antec 300 Hundred Two Case. With the correction, current temps for the CPU is 27 degrees C, System is running 25 degrees C and TMPIN2 is showing 7 to 15 degrees C.
Cons: None what-so-ever
Overall Review: All cooling is done by standard Antec Case fans and the Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED Turbo - Red. I have the same Cooler Master: but, with the Black Top Cover in 2 other desks tops, another Gigabyte and the other ASRock 970M Pro3.
Roomy and Keeps temps low!
Pros: Transferred my ASRock 970M Pro3 to this case. Also, installed a Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED Turbo CPU cooler. Temps are running at 85 degrees F and Motherboard at 80 degrees F. The Graphics card Zotac GeForce GT 730 4 GB, does not a fan, temps are running at 87 degrees F.
Cons: None!
Replacement for older P4 478
Pros: Installation was fast. The loading of windows and all the necessary is a long process. Coffee and the other computer for entertainment. Thanks Newegg, very fast service!
Cons: None
Overall Review: The one thing I need to do is pick up a video card. The onboard video uses a good chunk of memory. This was a replacement for an older VIA P4PB P4 478 motherboard, the board had massive capacitor failure. Will get them replaced; but, as we all know the board will never be like new again.
Love it
Pros: Picture quality, even on 2.5 inch screen. So many features that I probably will never use.
Cons: I wish they made this model in 60+ gig harddrive.
Overall Review: I read on the ipod comments regarding the software. I found the software is very much easy to use.
