Exceptional PSU for its class
Pros: Solid power delivery 3 yr warranty All black cabling Silent operation. Can't hear the fan at all. Higher power ratings than previous version (450BT) Small footprint for standard PSU
Cons: None
Overall Review: Got on sale for $29 & also got a $10 rebate from EVGA = Only $20 for a great 80+ certified PSU, from a trusted company!
I REALLY tried to like it. - GIGABYTE B450M DS3H WIFI
Pros: Pros: -It's a B450 board with WiFi that won't break the bank. (I would have preferred a better product, for a little bit more) -They're shipping Ryzen 5000 Ready, now.
Cons: Cons: (Buckle Up) - If you use any modern graphics card, it's nearly impossible to use ANY of the SATA ports on this board, and with only a single M.2 slot, you're probably going to want to. You can wiggle one in the very top SATA plug, but when I say it's a tight fit, I mean it's a TIGHT fit. -They might as well not have even put the 2 bottom PCIe slots on this board, because if you use the top slot for anything at all, you literally cannot even access either of them. It's physically impossible to do so with even a double-slot GPU in the top slot. (Show me a modern GPU that isn't running on a custom water loop that doesn't take up at LEAST 2 slots.) -Very flimsy WiFi Implementation, just look at it... -Very flimsy PCB, among the thinnest boards I've ever used, and I've used a lot. -NOTHING ABOUT THIS BOARD IS "ULTRA DURABLE" It's literally an oxymoron for a board of this caliber. -Very meager rear I/O, once your keyboard and mouse are pugged in, only 4 USB ports are faster than USB 2.0 And since this is sort of a "budget" board, it would be nice in 2023 for it to have a DisplayPort out, for APU's, especially since it's so hard to use this with any decent graphics card. -Only 1 fan header, aside from the CPOU fan header -Zero support for USB Type-C, either on the rear, or on the board. -Can't get to the CMOS battery with anything in the top slot -The included manual is literally a single sheet of paper. (basically useless) -The VRM heatsink is basically nothing. I've won better pieces of metal from gumball machines. And there isn't any heatsink on the SOC portion of the VRM. -After leaving this review, there is a solid chance there will be some canned response from a rep from Gigabyte or the "Egg", telling me to just call "this number" etc, to try an give the illusion that they have any intention on improving any of these features.
Overall Review: I would absolutely NOT recommend this board I have explained fairly well why I feel this way. As a seasoned PC builder, I'm used to seeing companies cut corners, but this board is essentially that of a poor OEM. Just spend a bit more for a better board.
Best case in its class, hands down
Pros: Love the minimal RGB. Works with or without an RGB 5v addressable motherboard Surprisingly solid construction for the price point ($59 when I bought it) Amazing cable management. LOTS of room behind the motherboard tray Looks awesome Decent airflow Love the basement for hiding your "work." TG is clear, not tinted, so you can actually see inside. Magnetic dust filter on top
Cons: You can only connect SATA cables to HDD's from front, which is odd, but not a big deal. No reset button...but I really don't care.
Overall Review: If this case is under $70, buy it...like now. You won't regret it.
Just as good as Kryonaut, for a fraction of the Price
Pros: Exceptional thermal performance, for the price. Triple the amount of TIM as TG Kryo, for same price, with equal performance. Spreader comes in handy Not electrically conductive, so you can squirt this stuff anywhere without worrying if you used too much Thin enough to spread, and doesn't crack or dry out like most pastes
Cons: None
Overall Review: This is literally the only thermal paste (compound) I buy now. Best bang for your buck on the market.
Solid SSD for $20 Price
Pros: It's a great SSD for the price. It's not as fast as something like a Samsung Evo, but it's plenty fast as a boot drive.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I would highly recommend this, if it's still selling for $20. If it cost any more than that, you may as well get a 240gb SSD.
Bought on sale for 6 bucks
Pros: They were cheap
Cons: You get what you pay for.
Overall Review: Would not recommend
