Thoughts on the EN7800GT

ASUS Dual GeForce 7800GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card EN7800GT DUAL/2DHTV/512M
ASUS Dual GeForce 7800GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card EN7800GT DUAL/2DHTV/512M

Pros: Please stop writing 'reviews' if you don't own the product. The claim that only 77.77 drivers work is wholly inaccurate - I have gotten the card to work using 81.xx drivers. Stop just reiterating everything we've all read on Tom's Hardware, because a lot of their info is inaccurate now, especially their claim that the 'Master card is always seen as 1 GPU' - this is instead the issue with PCIe slots on the A8N32-SLI I describe in the 'cons' section.

Cons: On my A8N32-SLI, the card only displays two GPUs when placed in the bottom slot. In the top PCIe slot, only one is displayed. Have e-mailed Asus, no meaningful response yet. Their tech support is woeful.

Overall Review: 3DMark06 score of around 5,600 on an Athlon 4000+ (stock), 2 gigs Corsair XMS, A8N32-SLI, etc.

Elaboration of the 2 GPU issue

ASUS Dual GeForce 7800GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card EN7800GT DUAL/2DHTV/512M
ASUS Dual GeForce 7800GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card EN7800GT DUAL/2DHTV/512M

Pros: When it works properly, performance is on a par with 2 regular GTs.

Cons: The information posted below from Tom's Hardware is wholly inaccurate. Tom's experienced the same issue many of us (who own the card) have; in the primary PCIe slot, only 1 GPU is found, performance is 7k 3DMarks in 05. Toms mistakenly attributed this to 'master' and 'slave' card detection, it is nothing of the sort. I have spoken to Asus and nVidia, it is a driver issue, unsure if/when it will be rectified. With proper drivers, this - - is what it should look like.
