Excellent

Pros: Overclocked effortlessly to 2.5GHz at stock voltage, prime95 stable. Exceeded expectations. Excellent value.
Cons: Fairly expensive as compared to single core options. Amount of benefit from second core varies depending on the application (as with any multiprocessor)
Displayport issues

Pros: This card is really nice: quiet and powerful.
Cons: ASUS has not to date updated the BIOS of this card to a version that nvidia produced last November to correct significant black screen issues when using the displayport connector. Since I'm using the card with a monitor that only works with displayport (an ASUS ROG SWIFT), this is a real problem for me.
Overall Review: For more information on the issue, see the thread titled "GTX 970/980 BIOS update for DisplayPort issues" on the ASUS ROG forums, which has more information. If ASUS ever acknowledges the issue, hopefully that will be reflected there as well.
May require special BIOS recovery procedure

Pros: Nice features for HTPC, low power consumption.
Cons: Shipping BIOS is not compatible with some CPUs, including the one I purchased (i3-550). The board will not POST at all and a conventional BIOS reprogramming is not possible. HOWEVER NOTE: there is a BIOS recovery process involving copying a .bio file to a USB stick, attaching that to the motherboard, removing a jumper, and powering the board on for several minutes while it updates the BIOS. It's not difficult, but it's not obvious either. Intel's website has details on the procedure.
