Poor shipping = lost memory

Pros: No problem with the RAM
Cons: Bought 1500 dollars of stuff from Newegg. They put it all in a VERY flimsy box and used only one piece of tape to close the top. When I got the shipment the box was mangled, with peanuts falling out from multiple places. Everything inside was undamaged, but my RAM (4gig total) and my Artic Silver were gone - assumably they slipped out of the multiple breaks in the box :( I reordered the RAM, and as to whether or not I get reimbursed for this loss will depend on the "investigation"
Overall Review: This is VERY unusual for Newegg, which I have used many times before. I hope this problem is a one time problem, and not a trend
Careful on updating the BIOS!

Pros: Worked great with my old Athlon 64 3500+, SLI was easy to set up.
Cons: I recently upgraded to a Athlon 64 X2 4800+, and although this MB would boot, it didn't recognize the chip (which is understandable, since the chip came out well after this board). I had to update the BIOS in order for the mobo to see the chip properly (was showing my cpu temp to be 90C when I first turned it on too, obviously misreading). To make a long story short, the ASUS webpage (although it looks quite nice!) made frinding the proper files/detailed instructions nearly impossible. I eventually tried to "wing it", and fried the board. :( Lesson learned, and customer lost - buying ABIT AN8 32X Socket 939 mobo for a replacement. It's too bad too, since I have uniformly bought ASUS boards for the last 8 years or so. Also the PCe lock in mechanism to keep the cards in place drove me CRAZY! I ended up moving cards in and out of the case quite often, and it was always such an ordeal trying to unlock those white plastic locks.
Overall Review: Overall the board works well, as long as you don't need to update it/move the video cards too often. The web support for this board is VERY poor.
I love this case

Pros: I love the snap in bays! At first I thought they didnt send any rails with the case for my 5.25 drives, but then I realize they store them IN the front plates you remove to slide the drive in! Very cool idea. I love the removable MB tray. Wires seem pretty tidy. The solid blavk metal finish will look nice in my living room (this baby has 9 hard drives, and acts as my media server/network server. Runs quiet Tons of space inside - I'll never go mid ATX again after working inside this baby
Cons: Only came with 1 fan. Has a spot for a 120mm behind the hard drives, but you need to buy it separately. High end graphics/cpu (which I am not doing with this particalar machine) may have trouble staying cool, but I am only guessing here. Front foor looks nice, but is a little tricky to open
Overall Review: There is a power hookup from the front that I have NO IDEA what it does :) I'll have to play around with it more when I get home from work today
Nice bargain board

Pros: Nothing horribly exciting about this board, but it is excellent for a home network server/media center. Gigabit lan very nice for home server work
Cons: The PCe locking mechanism is horrible, I can't believe they still use the same setup a year later. It's VERY hard to get your PCe video card out again after seating it.
Overall Review: I recently discovered that the website for ASUS is rather unhelpful for certain mobos (ie the A8N-SLI I fried just yesterday secondary to poor instructions). This longstanding ASUS consumer is going to give ABIT a run now...
Quiet, pretty, but LARGE

Pros: I put this baby in 2 boxes - excellent cooling, and very quiet. it also looks very nice as well if you have a see through side wall to your case
Cons: It's big. Not a problem for my media server machine (full ATX) but the mid ATX side panel fan pushes against this baby, making it tricky to close the box
Overall Review: Highly recommended, just make sure you have some elbow room to work with :)
Install a little tricky for non experts

Pros: It works, and the profile is not too intrusive
Cons: Had to apply a LOT of pressure on the cpu/mobo to get this thing to seat in the socket 939 chassis. Recently replaced this with a ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm and I was amazed how much easier the Zalman was to install. The Zalman profile is much larger though, so perhaps an even trade off
Overall Review: It works
