Pros: Works as advertised, nice little blue activity LED inside (surprised me, because the case appeared to be opaque upon first inspection). Seems to have a quality feel to it. PSU has an inline on/off switch with a green LED indicator. Works with both 3.5" and 2.5" drives perfectly (haven't tested it with an optical drive yet).

Cons: The molex plug in the power supply only has one ground pin (it only puts out 2A max, after all), the one next to the 5v rail. Not usually a problem, but it confused me when I tried to hook it up to a fan that used only the ground next to the 12v rail. Silicone case may not be well ventilated enough for hotter running drives, and it's somewhat challenging to get a drive in it (although that makes it less likely to fall out, I suppose).

Overall Review: It's a silicone case, not silicon...

Pros: Speed seems to be up to spec (no different than my other hub, a 7 port DLink). Tested flash drives, keyboards, mice, card readers and external hard drives with it...and it also charges my Zen Vision:M when the external power is used. The 7 ports are lit up with a very nice blue glow - a deeper, more-violet-than-green blue, I like it a lot. Spacing and layout of the ports allow multiple flash drives or other things that take up a lot of space (wireless recievers come to mind).

Cons: This thing feels cheap. It doesn't look it from far away, but everything is plastic and quite thin plastic at that (you can flex the center of the case quite easily). The power adapter is the main reason why this got a 3, as it seemed to be included as an afterthought. The cord was tangled, smashed and stretched inside the package, and also somewhat dusty. Had to untwist, untangle and straighten the cord before plugging it in, only to find that the connection in the plug is unreliable. Not sure if it's a bad solder joint or just corrosion on parts, but it's highly inconvenient.

Overall Review: This could have easily been a 5-rated product if there was a bit more quality in the construction, and a better power adapter. It's one of the cheapest 7port hubs available with a power adapter, but you do get what you pay for. So far, it's been reliable (apart from the power adapter) so I can overlook most of the cheapness as function over form.

Pros: my backpack been on a plane more than twenty times and thrown around and shoved (when there's no laptop in it) more than I can remember in its three year (and counting) life. it's been rained on and spilled on, and then washed several times. I've taken it on over 1000 miles on foot through the university and city... and despite all of this, the only sign of its abuse is moderate fraying around the edges, and very slight discoloration in some areas. It's extremely spacious, fits a Sager NP3880 (15.4") with room to spare. Padding on both sides of the laptop compartment, and two more large compartments for any other things you may need to carry. It fit my physics book and laptop at the same time (1300 page hardcover). Zippers have yet to fail on me, and the netting pockets on the sides haven't torn yet (the stitching on the elastic partially came off on one side though). Very well built backpack that lasted me longer than I would have guessed.

Cons: padding and ventilation on the back is a bit less than I'd like, walking around with it for more than fifteen minutes or so results in a sweaty back. Over the years the foam on the back has sort of bunched up, but not nearly as much as I would have thought. Also, not really a con but since it's a soft backpack, there's not much localized impact protection. My laptop's screen was facing out, and got cracked when the backpack hit a corner (thanks, TSA...) and had to replace a $250 WUXGA out of warranty. The only other thing I'd add is that since the pockets are so big, putting lots of little things in them results in the backpack looking swollen on the bottom.

Overall Review: Net pockets were a good idea, but I can't figure out any use for them except rubbish (gum wrappers, etc.)...

Pros: Pure copper, very small profile for use in small places. Fits great with no clearance issues in the Xbox 360 (southbridge, RAM) for those of you who did the RRoD DIY fix and want to add heatsinks for those.

Cons: A little heavy, due to being pure copper. The adhesive didn't work well for some people apparently, but for me it did (used Arcticlean before applying, it worked well). Just make sure the surface is clean before sticking them on, and apply pressure for some time afterwards. That said, I wouldn't recommend it on a vertical installation using the stock adhesive.

Overall Review: Awesome packaging. If I saw this in a local store I would've bought it just cause of that.

Pros: It's a Seagate! Very quiet, I cannot hear anything when reading/seeking unlike my last laptop internal hdd (Hitachi). Nearly as fast as old 7200rpm drive, except when unraring a huge file or defragging (those are stuff that you do overnight anyway). Runs cooler than old Hitachi, but my Sager NP3880's graphics card makes so much heat it's not that noticeable...oh, and best cost/gb in this class.

Cons: why doesn't Newegg carry 7200rpm ATA6 laptop drives anymore? what's wrong with them? had to settle on 5400rpm for my replacement hdd...not that it's a bad thing, since I ended up with this awesome product, but I'd prefer a faster one. Oh, and a minor con is that it doesn't come with a jumper to set CS/Slave for people with laptop RAIDs.

Overall Review: A great replacement for my old 60gb 7200rpm Deathstar, although unfortunately it was a replacement that came out of necessity...will be looking into a data recovery service soon...

Pros: Nice CFM, not irritatingly loud

Cons: Doesn't come with adapters, it's just a fan. Make sure you have extra adapters.

Overall Review: I bought these to replace my aluminum Bytecc notebook cooler fans (left side got stuck, right side was making noise). These don't work too well at 5v, they push a little less air and make a little less noise than the stock fans. Recommended for cpu applications, but not laptop coolers. I'll give other fans a try.
