Pros: Its kinda annoying to set-up in Linux, but theres a guide for this model. In WinXP works as advertised
Cons: Had to do some modifications and recompile the kernel module.
Pros: Good overall placement of connectors, goes well with SLI and one additional PCIe and PCI2.0 card. Had 7 months non-stop running until I hit SSD firmware issue.
Setting this mobo for server usage when I upgrade to new one, has good overall connectivity on IO backplate.
Cons: The PCIe card is cooking pretty nicely
Doesn't come with IDE for old disk, had to buy addon card
Overall Review: Intel Core I7-2500k
Corsair Vengeance 4x4GB 1600MHz
Crucial M4 64GB SSD (another 128GB soon)
Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty PCIe
EVGA GTX-570 Doubleshot
Pros: Great performance for the price, runs Skyrim beautifully, way colder than my older GTS-8800, so there is room for overclocking still without additional cooling system. Would buy another one for SLI if I could.
Pros: Saved me a lot of trouble when backuping HDDs, no need to turn off PC or to deal with a bunch of cables and finding a spot to place the HDDs.
Cons: None so far
Pros: Bought 2 set for 2 Jetway Mini-Top, 1 for HTPC usage and the other for LAMP server, thats enough memory for desktop usage
Pros: Bought 2 of them, with SSD and 8GB RAM. Using one as HTPC for my parents, the other I use it for LAMP server. Watching 1080p movies fine.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: 7 months running my Linux desktop and it never uses more than 13GB, I even use it for browser temp directory. Multi tasking games, movies, development environment. Still trying to use it all up
Pros: Bought 4 of these, all 4 has the firmware freeze problem which happen after 5000+ hours which is around 7 month running non-stop (even without reboot), updated the firmware and have no problem so far, waiting another 7 months.
Booting is blazing fast compared to any HDD. Have 1 64GB to dual boot Win7 and Linux, buying another one to separate both OS in my desktop.
Cons: Doesn't come with 2.5" to 3.5" adapter plate. Expensive
Pros: I have it for my Corsair dominator PC800 C4. Not much of a difference, have it just to cool the memory heatsink a little
Cons: Needed a bigger case for it to fit well
Pros: Not much of a difference from MX518. I bought it just right before the 7-button version came out, so i don't have the forward button. Can graduate the weight of it and its very light itself. I never use the medium speed and the slow speed.
Cons: Hate to have the 6-button one
Pros: It's my second controller, unlike many others i have tried, the buttons are fine, the sticks are soft, have all PS controller's buttons plus vibration mode (trying to figure how to feedback vibration off games and emulators) and analog mode for stick controller
Cons: Have numbers instead of PS controller's symbols, very comfusing while i play PS2 emulator
Pros: Very bright leds even though i never sees them because my case comes with a cover (Gigabyte Aurora).
Fits me well since i dont have much fans (i use water cooling). 1 front fan, 2 radiator fan, 1 corsair memory fan fits completely.
Pros: Good if you don't want to lose data.
APC is by far the best in power surge.
Cons: Very heavy (but what power surge isn't?)
Pros: Looks very professional, comes with a wallet to hold the enclosure, I use it with a 60GB 2.5" HDD as a huge pendrive. Haven't used the extra power plug yet and it works fine even copying and reading heavily.
Pros: Can clean a lot of LCD surface with 100ml of cleaning solution
Pros: Comes with a mini bag for the mouse. Fast and precise. Good portability, looks good with Asus EEE-PC
Pros: Very light, cool look, tooless design, water cooling ready, plenty of space. Front cover is solid strong.
I own a 8800GTS and it fits nice. Zalman 9700 fits completely too. Corsair memory fan fits nicely too.
Cons: Fans aren't silent.
Had to remove front panel to change the front fan.
Overall Review: EVGA 680i, C2D E6600, Corsair 2GB Dominator PC800 C4, EVGA 8800GTS 640MB Superclocked, 2x320GB, Plextor DVD-RW, Lite On DVD-RW, Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty, Hauppage TV, Cooler Master 550W, Water cooling fix and it all works fine
Pros: I bought this to use with an external enclosure as a huge pendrive, and it works well with usb2.0
Pros: Works with linux as well as in winxp. Good speed, but i still don't get it to work at 1Gbps
Pros: Works great. First i though it was damage when i tested some new PSU and 1 led didn't light. But then I figured out that new PSU doesn'a have 1 cable on 24-pin connector and that's the led that doesn't light.
Pros: Very good deal. UT3, NFS ProStreet, Quake4, Oblivion all at max details running on 1680x1050 and i dont get any slowdown.
I upgrade it to water-cooling and it works perfect.
Cons: It gets very hot around 70°C/158°F, but it keeps working like that.
Overall Review: Upgrade to water-cooling might be needed... Temps went from 70°C to 45°C when I did
Pros: Perfect solution for repairing HDDs. Comes with SATA
Cons: Too much cables gets messy
Pros: Good when cleaning clients PCs
Cons: Should come in combo with remover and purifier
Pros: A little better than Intel's cpu cooler's one
Pros: Good, very useful since i work a lot with CPUs, specially when i upgraded my PC to be water-cooled
