Ok when using Firmware Version 1.03
Pros: The "pro" is that is works better than my previous Linksys product, and it hasn't broken yet. Overall, it pretty much does what it is supposed to do. My wife hasn't had a complaint when connected via WiFi from her MacBook. I bought it intending to use its VPN capability, but haven't had the time to try that out yet. Aesthetically, I think it looks nice. D-Link allows us to wall mount the device, but I have it standing upright.
Cons: The device would on infrequent occasion reset itself. I'm guessing maybe once or twice per week and the interruption is momentary. Before upgrading to version 1.03 of the firmware, it was pretty bad - crashing repeatedly. Since then, I am comfortable with this product.
Overall Review: This is the only wireless D-Link device in my house, so I can't really measure the wireless throughput. 108MBps would be sweet!!! I don't know if I have high expectations; I expect that the WiFi would work as advertised (so far, it seems to do so well enough at 54MBps). I expect that the wired ports would work at 10/100 HD/FD autoneg as expected - all my wired connections are working at 100FD. And, I expect the basic features of firewall, routing, port forwarding and DHCP would work as advertised - seems so. Finally, I expect that the defaults are reasonable and changes are reasonably easy to make - I think so. I haven't tested the fancier features like VPN/PPTP, DMZ, etc.
good video card
Pros: Quiet and not expensive. Haven't had an issue - bought 2 - one each for XP MCE SP2 and Vista Home Premium.
Cons: None
fantastic monitor
Pros: I've bought 4 of these monitors (not all from Newegg), and have not had a single reason to complain. The display is bright and clear. The 4-port USB hub is nice too, although I personally have little need for this. I like the dual dvi/vga capability; I hook up two computers to a single monitor and toggle back and forth.
Cons: Can't adjust the height, but this is just a minor issue to me.
Overall Review: I don't use these for gaming, just general usage and to watch recorded TV shows.
No problems...
Pros: I own two of these, bought a few months apart. They are connected to Linux and Solaris10. I haven't had any problems with these.
Cons: I don't see any of the problems mentioned by the others. Maybe I got lucky - I am thinking of buying another.
Works like a charm
Pros: Stuck it into my 2-1/2 y/o Compaq notebook, and everything just worked like a charm.
Cons: No cons.
Works like a charm
Pros: I can't believe my wife's not-so-old PC didn't have AGP nor PCI-e, but fortunately we have this card. Stuck it into my wife's PC and now she is very happy with two monitors.
Cons: The vendor's software doesn't come with a way to keep the drivers updated.
