Overall Review: I am coming from a GTX 275 and I looked for a Direct X 11 card, but not much out there could compete with that. I either had to stick with what I had or go with a 580. I compared these two and this is more or less on par with the 275 although slightly faster in some regards. It has a faster core, but lower bit interface. Part of me wondered if I done the right thing. I was also a second away from going with ATI as it is probably more impressive in every way, but the CUDA thing got to me. However, CUDA does nothing for me since my Core i970 dusts CUDA any day! So I probably should have gone with ATI. Maybe next time... Well, the first thing I noticed with this card is that it was smaller and lighter than the 275! This had me concerned that I made the wrong choice. It is so quiet that I wondered if it was on! It is cool and an overall great choice so far. Now we'll see how fast I get the rebate.

Cons: Mine had errors and I had to RMA. I am waiting on the replacement to see if it is an isolated incident...

Overall Review: Others wrote that it had errors but I figured it was haters. This is the first time I have ever had RAM go bad.

Pros: Price/special, more exciting looks, black PCB, 8GB modules. I have a 4820K and the RAM was recognized as 1866 on boot! This is the only DDR3 past 1333Mhz to ever do that. Even the 1600Mhz sticks that I used to get defaulted at 1333 - their real speed. This kit's real speed or SPD is 1600Mhz, so I at least wanted that. This went all of the way. It passed Windows 7 Memory test, so I can breath a little. IS faster than 1600Mhz that I had and is clearly faster in real world performance in every way.

Cons: Nothing so far, except that the 1600Mhz default timings are 11-11-11! I find that strange. I guess all the more reason to make me keep them at 1866! My CPU supports 1866 anyway, which is the match I wanted.

Overall Review: This is my first time dealing with this brand. I did not know what to make of a brand that was selling many items but seemingly popped out of no where. What made me give them a try were two things. One was my Corsair 32Gb config was comprised of 2X 3-stick kits of 12GB and on dual stick kit of 8GB. I would get blue screens at random ("Bad pool header," "Cache manager), but my system was stable like crazy for the longest (Windows 7 64) so I did not know what to make of it. My videocard was OC'd, then I took it off and still got BSOD. I then contacted Corsair and they told me that I need to get ALL sticks in the same kit. I had heard this being said before, but I would normally go with a couple of kits to spread out the RAM and I never had issues. I took out the dual Corsair kit and went with 16GB (1 3X kit and one form the other 3x kit) and another XMP profile (2) appeared (I do not see XMP profile 1.3 on the G. Skill - Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4) and everything was stable and no BSOD. So that was the issue. Maybe I was asking too much of Cosair, but since I made such an investment, I asked if they could exchanged a couple of sticks to fit under warranty and they ignored me at that point. Well, I decided to go for some new RAM and a new brand, which brings me to the second point of why I chose G. Skill. I was looking at RAM CPU-Z screen shots and I noticed that G.Skill RAM defaulted at 1600Mhz, not 1333. I hated the fact that my Corsair defaulted at 1333, as I felt that it was not 'real' speeds. Since I saw this, I went to G. Skill's website (old looking for a PC part company - it got me nervous) and they showed the SPD or real speed of their RAM! This aided in my buying decision. I knew that if nothing else, I would have a real 1600Mhz RAM if the 1866 option did not work for some reason. Well, I put them in, put them to the test and it does what it do. The system moves faster without any type of lag. I wanted the 32GB kit with 8 sticks since they had faster timings, but it was sold out and I did not want to take the chance of them not coming back until the special ran out. Of course - AFTER I place the order, the red Ripjaw 32GB 8 stick kit was back in stock. Ah well, it's all good, and these were cheaper by a few dollars anyway.

Pros: Storage amount, size and price

Cons: It just erased everything that I had on here today! It acted as if it were not formatted and wanted me to format it! It is unreliable, which means that it is useless.

Overall Review: I did not write a review on this simply because I did not get to it, but I felt the urge to because I just tried to access a file and then the whole drive got deleted! I mainly have movies on here that I did not watch yet, but I am glad I back my critical files (that I can remember) to a more RELIABLE flash drive (Patriot)! Man, I did not believe the reviews about these things failing or working for a few months then falling off, but it literally just happened to me today! This is my first product from this brand and I was going to get a 32GB one from them for my Xbox 360 - I am glad that I did not make the move yet! Man, if this is how it's going to be, I guess I will have to stick with the Patriot brand as I never had a problem with memory loss (the most important issue for these things) with them. It is still under warranty and hopefully something can be done. The last few products I have been buying lately have been duds galore!

Pros: I wanted the 3GB of RAM and the other features Gold Plated HDMI

Cons: It did not work. The only thing that came on were the fans! I have a 1,000 watt Super Nova PSU. Out of all of the video cards I have had in the last 17 or so years, this is the ONLY one to not work upon installation. I admit, for 13 of those years, I always had Nvidia cards, but still, this is Gigabyte.

Overall Review: As when anyone gets a new video card, we can't wait to see what it can do. Clearly I will have to keep wondering. I have a Gigabyte X79 MB and for once I wanted to match the maker of the MB with the video card. I also liked the build quality of Gigabye items and read pro reviews and they were all positive even with the cooling fins being vertical. I read some Newgg reviews about DOA cards and I just assumed that people were using them improperly then complaining when things did not go right. Well, I did not even have an opportunity to do anything as all I got was a blank screen. It is weird how Gigabytes products can't or in this did not work together. When I first opened the package, I did notice that the plastic covers on the PCIE connectors and the Crossfire connectors were half off as if they were put back on. This got me concerned. Then I looked on the back and I noticed spots were it looked like stickers used to be. I noticed that this card also had a metal plate on the back and scratches on the PCIE connectors and the metal plate that says "Gigabyte" on it. I then looked this model up online to see pics on the PCB's back and I saw at least three stickers on them, including a green one that looked like a test result sticker from the factory. I did not have that on mine, all I had was one sticker with the serial number on it. That of course starts making me wonder what this card was about coming like this. Needless to say, after looking it it for some time, it did not work when it was time to put it in. It is on it's way back and I am not getting another because between the 'smartpost' shipping that took almost a week from NJ to CT(!), I have to ship it back to Newegg in CA, which means another week. With Newegg's now suspect shipping practices, I can't insure a timely delivery. I might just pic one up from the comp or go local and pay a few more dollars, but have the opportunity to exchange on site.

Pros: Quality, power, newer tech, full modular, 83.3 amps, nice box

Cons: The SATA power cables should have been flat as you have to get creative to close the case on them. That is the only flaw, aside from there only being 10 of them.

Overall Review: I like(d) Newegg, but the big "A" had them beat on this price wise. With rebate, I end up getting this for a steal! Newegg's main thing has always been it's fast shipping speed, but now with the big "A" beating them in pricing and Newegg entertaining super slow shipping methods (items shipping out of NJ to CT taking one WEEK, when it is only a day by UPS), then there is no longer an incentive to buy from Newegg. I even called them and Newegg could care less even if I spent well over $1,000 in the last week alone. Some customer appreciation! Well, this PSU made my 3820K with 32GBS RAM, 7 hard drives, 2 disc drives and HD7870 feel re-energized! I had an 850 Watt Corsair which I thought was fine, but I wanted another since I thought the PSU had an issue, but it turned out to be a bad TV tuner card slowing things down and causing BSOD. Well, I am glad that I got this for future proofing and it seems to recharge my system and has it working on all cylinders! With this, who needs that six-core (970) that I had, as this PSU makes this balance out, as I thought that it would.
