AWESOME board

ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: CHEAP, all the features of the fancier boards, convenient features (onboard 2x 8segment debug display) onboard power and reset buttons when you're working in the case/without power button connected, CMOS reset on rear IO panel, plenty of fan headers, plenty of USB headers, headers for everything, good documentation with pinouts for everything, USB3.0, UEFI bios is awesome native mouse support, plenty of overclocking/tweaking options! (Awesome for k unlocked chips), stable board with good drivers and support seems good. Still cant get over the segmented display, looks very cool and high tech in my case, board is black and looks professional/high quality. Dont hesitate with the Asrock brand I have 0 regrets this is an awesome board for the price no problems at all!

Cons: Asrock instantboot is crud, fastusb pops up obnoxiously, and xfastlan has an obnoxious gadget that keeps popping up. Software is skinned obnoxiously, just install the drivers and skip the software. Only one PCIX16 slot, only a couple of the fan headers are auto fan controlled, others are manual or on/off, awkward floppy drive connector placement (not that I'll ever use it). Dont put pressure on the DRM heatsinks... they are held on by springy clips, not structural. The rear eSata is shared with the Sata 3-1 so you can only have one sata 3.0 drive hooked up internally if you plan to use the rear esata port.

Overall Review: Be VERY careful putting your processor in this is just standard 1155 proceedure, keep the cap if you ever have to send it in for warranty you'll be denied otherwise. Provisions to use 775 cooler, not a big deal for me, useful to somebody who has a nice 775 cooler. All lights on the board glow red these being the integrated power and reset switches and the segmented LED, all of which can be disabled in the bios (Goodnight LED enable and Dr Debug disable) Asrock rep on youtube seems to be ridiculously enthusiastic about Asrock boards, would recommend checking him out for a good laugh.

Most Critical Review

Cheap on all accounts

WorkMate Screwdriver Level Light Tool - Gift Box
WorkMate Screwdriver Level Light Tool - Gift Box

Pros: It was free and the LED is bright. Looks cool

Cons: I'm surprised intel put their logo on this and cannot fathom anybody spending money on it... it feels really cheap... like its pretty bad. Bit socket seems to be made of plastic, that's the main problem right there. Would not trust any torque on this device I feel like It'd just snap. Grips in picture look like rubber... they're not, they're molded plastic.

Overall Review: Many complain about bits not staying in, mine stayed in just fine. I see absolutely no use for a level.... the screwdriver is round so it cant lay flat on anything and who needs a level for assembling a computer? Would rather see cost for level put towards reinforcing the bit driver. Saw similar units for sale in an automotive store, identical without intel logo, must be a generic design. Do not pay for this, it made a cool little toy to include with my i3 but at a value of $14 I can go to hardware store and get tools that feel twice as good. Very light, pro or con you decide, I like heavy weighted tools.

Cant beat em

XIGMATEK FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing) Cooling System Crystal Series CLF-F1252 120mm Red LED Case Fan PSU Molex Adapter/extender included
XIGMATEK FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing) Cooling System Crystal Series CLF-F1252 120mm Red LED Case Fan PSU Molex Adapter/extender included

Pros: Wiring is professionally sheathed in black mesh and heatshrinked at the ends... Very nice touch Nice quiet fans, wasn't expecting it for a free fan Crystal fans look kind of cool especially when lit up Red LEDs are vibrant and light up my case well! Speed reporting Even at full blast they dont make much noise, its more air noise than motor noise that you hear (whoosh vs whine) Keeps my i3 rig at 26C idle (NICE) Umm... it was FREE (if the rebate works)... I can't complain

Cons: No fan level control provision, do that through an external controller or through a controllable motherboard header. Wires could be a little longer as this fan went on my outer removable panel. The screws are pretty bad, make sure you have a good screwdriver or else the heads will strip very easily, I had extras laying around but the included screws are cheap.

Overall Review: If you have this fan on level control the LEDs will dim with the intensity of the fan but even with these fans running at 6v the LEDs are still plenty bright! Do you trust the rebate? I dont but saw this as an excuse to try out some LED fans and I was impressed, will buy Xigmatec again! Even if the rebate doesnt go through I wont feel ripped off these fans are worth their price alone. They include a molex->3pin adaptor if you need it but then you're running your fans full blast

Intel Core i3-2100 - Core i3 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 3.1 GHz LGA 1155 65W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I32100
Intel Core i3-2100 - Core i3 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 3.1 GHz LGA 1155 65W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I32100

Pros: Fast, cold, quiet. Never gets above 35c with aftermarket cooler, even fully loaded up. With a decent GFX card and 8gb ram will run Skyrim almost maxed out. Huge upgrade over my AMD X2

Cons: Can not overclock this chip, if you want overclocking get a k chip. Stock heatsink is junk, but I was expecting that. Never even took it out of the packaging do yourself a favor and pick up an aftermarket one to begin with.

Overall Review: Bought this because I couldn't afford the i5 2500k. Still an adequate replacement and ran my games just fine. I am not using the stock heatsink, using Hyper 212+

Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3L 1333 (PC3L 10600) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT51264BD1339
Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3L 1333 (PC3L 10600) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT51264BD1339

Pros: This is just your basic every day ram and it gets the job done just fine. Memtest came up clean the sticks were good. No nonsense no heatsinks just straight up RAM. Well packaged. Memtest shows ram is just fine. Does the trick Win7 runs nice with 8gb RAM

Cons: Probably not your best choice for overclocking. Packaged well but had to cut packaging apart to get it out.

Overall Review: Lower voltage stick than many other sticks of ram out there. Your average every day design of RAM. It works no problem, what more is there to say
