Crucial MX100 SSD

Pros: I have had my new SSD running about 5 weeks now 24/7<br><br>It is in my laptop and the first thing I saw was the GPU temp dropped 15 degrees which is because the SSD is not running hot like the previous HDD......and of course it boots faster on those occasional reboots after an update (something I don't do very often)<br><br>Of course it is installed in about 1 minute.<br><br>The long part is installing the bios so that the new SSD will let you install the OS (mine is Win7) and that takes a couple hours since right now you have to add the 180 Windows Updates so the OS will run like it is supposed to.<br><br>Once finished it runs perfect with my 8-core i7 with 8GB Ram
Cons: Hey it would be a perfect world if the SSD came with the OS already installed for you so it would just be plug and play.
Overall Review: Now running 24/7 since 11/7/2014 .......never any problems and always reboots FAST now it is running Windows 10 .........so 16 months now always running the 8-core Asus laptop crunching Boinc tasks using the CPU and GPU processors.......SSD running COOL in this laptop.
I will let you know

Pros: I have had it a while but haven't got to even try it yet
Cons: It only has the jack for a dvi-d 24+1 and since it doesn't come with that adapter to connect to a VGA to the monitor I can't use it yet. ALL of the other video cards I have ever had came with 2 jacks OR they had the DVI-I to VGA jack and I have about 10 of those adapters.......so now waiting for a dvi-d 24+1 adapter from a friend since if you find one to buy they either cost less than the shipping or all of the websites forget to show a picture of the main part of that jack to make sure it is a dvi-d 24+1 and not the DVI-I to VGA version and a couple I found claimed they were dvi-d but a close up showed it was a dvi- i .......rediculous ......all they had to do is add that $3 part to the package and it would be up and running.
Overall Review: You just saw my overall review so don't ________ off
Mouse

Pros: Came fairly fast since the weekend was in the middle but it just came up the sw to the nw Works like it should so it will replace one of my other ones. Things do arrive faster if you make sure it is from Newegg and not a east coast company selling things here.
Cons: It is just a mouse so not much to get all excited about and the rest of my order was a ac/dc converter for the laptop and it was the wrong one so I had to send it back so we will see if they ever say they got it but it wasn't Newegg and was on the opposite side of the country and after checking that company from reviews here I shouldn't have made THAT order
Overall Review: Yes I recommend you....NewEgg as long as it IS NewEgg
Best for the dollar

Pros: I saw this here when looking to add another to my fleet and after getting the first one I had to buy two more and have all 3 running 24/7 with my other computers. This is a great buy if you like upgrading instead of building from scratch. This i7 3.4 after you set it in the Bios will run all 8 threads which is why I liked it. (and Virtualization) I had more Ram from a previous great deal here so now 2 of these has 16Gb ram and the 3rd one has 24Gb ALL 3 look new and like they have never been used and all 3 had a fresh install of Windows 10 and they give you the Activation number on a sticker on top next to the old OEM version so you can do that. These are the tower version so if you want to add anything they have plenty of room and I like the newer version of the side panel so you don't have to remove screws to remove it. They run cool and quiet and as usual they were shipped all the way to the NW fast and were packed nicely which was good since one had a damaged box via FedEx but when I opened it I could see it was well packaged along with the keyboard and mouse. And of course with a HD with that much room these will never be full and I am using a flash drive to move all the stuff I want to save off my older pc's since the old ones won't last forever (although I still have a 3-core phenom with XP Pro that has been running 24/7 since 2001) So I got THREE nice computers for the price of one......if I didn't have all the others still I would probably buy 3 more of these.....and these days you can find deals on video cards if you like using those GPU's
Cons: ONE keyboard has a bad space bar.......yes that was the only thing that wasn't working perfect. AND NewEgg has proven to me they are better than any other company I did business with over my decades of computing.
Overall Review: Only thing better is if they shipped them to me with top of the line video cards and PSU's already installed for the same price >;-) 3 years later after running 24/7 all 3 years.........still running with no problems
Deserves a -1 eggg

Pros: It came fast
Cons: It is a product that NewEgg gets from another company and then ships it to you fast.......the bad part is the company that makes these is TERRIBLE They can't even plug in the product to see if it even works before sending it to NewEgg Mine did nothing after I plugged it in and pressed the buttons.......no light......no fan........and then to return this they EMAIL you the RMA that YOU will have to PRINT. Well guess what.....I have 9 computers and ZERO printers since I either burn discs or save data and documents on my many accounts.......and so........what I will do since this is just $25 and I don't want to waste the time and money to find a way to print this RMA and then take the 50 mile round trip to a FedEx shipping to send this junk back........I will take it outside and smash it with a hammer and then use it as rebar in the next concrete project I do here.
Overall Review: THIS is the type of thing that makes me buy from another company and I don't care what the excuses are about the OTHER company sending them a product that NEVER worked. DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH (hey I didn't use one cuss word)
One Thing

Pros: Work great
Cons: Rather not see this after I type out a review here since I have spent thousands of dollars here. " Your rating has been successfully submitted. Please allow 1 to 2 business days for your review to be posted."
