Most Favorable Review

This is still my choice

AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 - Athlon 64 FX Windsor Dual-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM2 125W Processor - ADAFX62CSBOX
AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 - Athlon 64 FX Windsor Dual-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM2 125W Processor - ADAFX62CSBOX

Pros: This is a great proc that does all that is needed.

Cons: None Really.

Overall Review: OK we all know that AMD just made these as a bridge to start the AM2, so it is no surprise that core 2 beats it in many benches. Here at this time I also understand that they are getting the kinks out of the AM2 in preperation for the future of more than 2 cores while Intel will be stuck with socket t that just wont have the pep to handle tri or quad core.

Why

ASUS Vintage V2-AH2 AMD Socket AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Barebone
ASUS Vintage V2-AH2 AMD Socket AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Barebone

Pros: As far as a barebones goes this looks good, it supports 4 800 mhz memory sticks, it is AM2 which isnt bad, and the 6150 isn't a bad graphics engine if you aren't a die-hard gamer. Asus is a reliable company.

Cons: Why oh why do any of these companies install a 300W power supply. If a person is new to this (besides the fact that you should build if you don't know what you are doing.) they won't understand that all that is going to do is possibly kill whatever parts you put in it.
