Top class on a budget, MSI performs!

MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Two M.2 Slots. Two PCI-E Slots. Four DDR4 RAM Slots. RGB looks really cool. Supports Ryzen 3000 series out of the box (Except for those listed incompatible).

Cons: RGB is covered up by a full-size graphics card when mounted in the PCI-E Slot. Instructions were not very detailed (for less experienced installers). No onboard graphics will need to be paired with a CPU-graphics chipset option but already does not support the 3200G/3400G.

Overall Review: First off I'd like to mention that during the pandemic it has been hard to find affordable PC components in general. I always go MSi for my PC motherboards because of the easy to use Bios and the all around compatibility. This board doesn't disappoint, offering two m.2 slots for ultra fast performance as well as four DDR4 Memory slots and two PCI-E slots. this board packs a lot of punch for the price. Easy set up combined with all of MSi built in boosts make this an easy choice for both an inexperienced and an experienced builder alike.

The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is a good value.

AMD Ryzen 5 3rd Gen - RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000031BOX Desktop Processor
AMD Ryzen 5 3rd Gen - RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000031BOX Desktop Processor

Pros: Fast 6-Core processor. Comes with stock cooler. Great price.

Cons: Does not have integrated graphics.

Overall Review: I've owned mostly AMD before and have never had the nightmare issues you hear about from Intel enthusiasts. That being said I have owned my i7-6700k for four years now with no issues. I went to build a new PC for streaming and running some programs so as not to weigh down my current gaming system. While in the market for my new CPU I looked at a wide range of CPUs from both Intel and AMD and came to the conclusion that if you want the perfect amount of value from price to performance AMD is definitely the way to go. the Ryzen 5 3600 competes directly with Intel's 6-core i5-9600K. While Intel offers a good performance as well it just cant beat the pricing of the Ryzen 5 3600. Stable out of the box and I'm not looking to overclock. So this was perfect for my build offering a great performance solution without making my build bulky and expensive. No product is 100% flawless and some people may have issues that others do not. My goal is to provide you with an unbiased review of this product in my eyes. I do believe that this product The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 overall is a great product and a good buy. For the TL;DR people out there my reasoning for choosing this product was: Low cost - High performance. Support and Compatibility with both DRAM and MoBo. 6-Cores & 12-Threads (better for larger workloads vs a dual/quad core system). Overall high satisfaction from the community.

Corsair Ultra-wide Compatibility!

CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model CMK16GX4M2B3200C16R
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model CMK16GX4M2B3200C16R

Pros: Compatible with Intel & AMD Systems. High Speed, Low cost! Comes in a wide variety of colors.

Overall Review: This is my second purchase of Corsair's Vengeance LPX RAM. I have been running my older gaming pc with it for over four years with no issues what-so-ever. I love that the clock speeds are obtainable right out of the box with motherboards that support the speeds and that it is compatible with slower clocked motherboards at the loss of the clock speed advertised. All-in-all I would recommend this product to someone looking to build any range of PC from light desktop, to heavy gaming or even workstations. If you want a good product with a company that stands behind it this is the ram for you! I love Corsair, not only are their products easily top notch but their customer support doesn't leave you hanging and they seem to listen to problems people have and make necessary changes to combat future issues with products. I would just like to note I was not compensated in any way shape or form for this review and only want you all to make the best possible informed buying decision. I own other products from corsair and have talked to their support team before so have had experience dealing with that side of things before.

Awesome PSU!

Thermaltake PS-TTP-0600NNFAGU-1 600 W ATX12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Non-Modular Active PFC PFC Power Supply 80+ Gold Non-Modular SI Only Bulk Pack
Thermaltake PS-TTP-0600NNFAGU-1 600 W ATX12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Non-Modular Active PFC PFC Power Supply 80+ Gold Non-Modular SI Only Bulk Pack

Pros: Quiet. Runs cool. 80+ Gold Certified.

Cons: Non-Modular. Slightly expensive. No instructions whatsoever. Bulk packaging so does not come with any packaging.

Overall Review: It's expensive but in a good price range during the pandemic. I know supply and demand is hard during these times but the 300-400% price increases on PSU's are hard to get over. The good it does its job and well, the bad its going to cost you more then the same time 1-2 years ago. I like Thermaltake for their reliability and middle of the road costs. All-in-all it would be a buy again for me.

Great price point, great performance.

MSI GL62M 7RD-032 15.6" Intel Core i7 7th Gen 7700HQ (2.80 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 16 GB Memory 128 GB SSD 1 TB HDD Windows 10 Home 64-Bit Gaming Laptop Only @ NEWEGG
MSI GL62M 7RD-032 15.6" Intel Core i7 7th Gen 7700HQ (2.80 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 16 GB Memory 128 GB SSD 1 TB HDD Windows 10 Home 64-Bit Gaming Laptop Only @ NEWEGG

Pros: Low price to performance ratio = More bang for your buck! Latest technology and up to date internal parts. Trust-able brand, MSI stands behind their products and customer support is easy to reach. Solid state drive improves boot times by leaps and bounds, while the HDD allows for tons of storage. Screen is easy to see from all angles. High performance fan keeps the laptop cool even while gaming and it is very quiet. The unit is very lightweight, but solid and extremely portable. Quiet SteelSeries keyboard that feels very fluid when typing and looks great. Graphics card has no problem handling newer games with ease.. ( So far I've tested Minecraft on <Ultra> and Tom Clancey's: The Division on <Very High> settings.) Doesn't come with a ton of bloatware; however my SSD was over half full from the OS. Not a big deal for me as I keep my SSD as my Boot drive only! (Most of these files were contained in the Windows.old folder. Windows updated as soon as I connected it to the internet. I fixed this by running disk clean up and had it remove the large folder as it was unneeded.)

Cons: Battery performance is quite a bit less than stated, but is acceptable for the performance. Matte casing picks up fingerprints and dust and requires constant cleaning to look sleek. (But when clean it does look mighty flashy)

Overall Review: This purchase ended up shipping with a MSI backpack and a game journal, which was unexpected; the backpack is very sturdy, however a bit big for this 15.6" laptop. The journal is very nice and is also MSI branded. All-in-all you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal for this price point. The laptop is very well built and seems durable enough to last a good amount of time before needing to be replaced. I think you'd definitely be happy with this purchase for a on the go mobile gaming platform. If I were to purchase another laptop from Newegg I would definitely upgrade to two day shipping as there was a rebate on this item that I almost missed out on because of the shipping time. It was expected to arrive 8/31 when I purchased it, however pushed to 9/01. (I don't know if this was an error or Newegg or FedEx's part but I would suspect the ladder if it came down to it.)
