Nice... but...

MSI 990XA-GD55 AM3+ AMD 990X + SB950 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI 990XA-GD55 AM3+ AMD 990X + SB950 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Looks cool. Has 6 SATA 3.0. Supports two graphics cards.

Cons: Very difficult to update the BIOS.

Overall Review: My new AMD FX-4100 came with a red piece of paper saying that I needed to update my BIOS right after I installed the processor and O.S. The paper stressed updating the BIOS before installing any device drivers. I put all of the necessary files on my flash drive. Set up the new comp with O.S. When I went to run the flash utility provided with the BIOS downloaded on the MSI website, I got an error message (Not compatible with system...). I could not get the darn thing to run, and like the other reviews the instructions on how to update BIOS are horrible (mentions: windows 98, 2k, and XP; doesn't mention: Vista or 7). Had to install Ethernet drivers first, then run the LiveUpdate 5 program provided on MSI's website. You can create a USB boot drive with LiveUpdate, which is nice. However, before I updated it the BIOS froze after a few seconds every time I went into it to adjust the boot settings. Make a boot-able USB drive on a separate comp before you start working with this M.B.

Garbage

SimCity Limited Edition PC Game
SimCity Limited Edition PC Game

Pros: Looks great, if you can actually play it.

Cons: Servers are unstable and cannot keep up with the demand. I would recommend to anyone that they wait a month before buying this game, at least then you'll be able to play the game. I've only been able to play it for less than an hour, and I installed it right when it released. If your looking for another SimCity 4, you won't find it with this product. Think more along the lines of the bargain-bin, mega-bomb SimCity Societies. Try CitiesXL if you want a SimCity 4 type game.

Overall Review: Bought from Origin, big mistake.

Good Value

AMD FX-4100 - FX-Series Zambezi Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD4100WMGUSBX
AMD FX-4100 - FX-Series Zambezi Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD4100WMGUSBX

Pros: The price is great, compared to Intel's models of equal stats (4-cores, 3.6 ghz). DDR3 1866 support is a definite plus.

Cons: Heatsink is less than respectable.

Overall Review: New processor so you may need to update your bios right away, even if you have just purchased a new motherboard. I had to do it.
