Quality Performance, Quality Looks
Pros: Looks amazing and has very high build quality. The modular interface works great and after almost a year of use it is still providing great clean power well within spec
Cons: I only wish that the cable sleeving didn't terminate about half an inch from the connectors themselves, leaving some unsightly cabling for a perfectionist like me.
Overall Review: Buy it; it's well worth the money and Cougar has always been a great company for me.
Buggy Firmware=Worthless Product
Pros: The extender is compact and elegant looking. It integrates well into a variety of environments. The N/AC dual-band capability is a great feature.
Cons: The firmware is so full of bugs I couldn't use the products. After a few hours of trial and error and the devices refusing firmware updates I was able to bring the two I bought online. They periodically failed though and caused other network problems including DHCP interference on the wired network. RMA'd them both.
Overall Review: The hardware component of the product is very good! These extenders have a lot of potential, and future updates that work the bugs out of the firmware could make this a five-star product. Spank your software engineers D-Link. A product is only as good as its weakest component. The V1.02 firmware makes great hardware and potential nothing more than headache inducing garbage.
Garbage
Pros: A cheap, single-use, screwdriver for iPhones
Cons: This screw driver is made from soft, low quality metal and won't last for more than one or two uses if your lucky. This is definitely not something you'll own for long.
Overall Review: It's possible that I just got a screwdriver that was made with a bad batch of metal but buyer beware.
Card works very well for its price
Pros: I installed this card into an Intel server board running Windows Server 2012. The card is controlling a 6-drive WD 3TB Red RAID 5. The card was immediately recognized by the system and after getting the drivers and software installed, I built the Array which works great.
Cons: You get what you pay for; if I had a budget that allowed for a high end LSI card I would have went with one of those just for the higher quality chips. I also wish that the card had an integrated battery backup.
Overall Review: The card has two mini SAS connectors, more than others in its price point, the build quality is quite good, and for my particular hardware setup, its been a pretty turn-key solution which has been working great.
Great Unit
Pros: The build quality is very high, the unit comes with many different charging tips for many different products (including Apples newer lightning connector), and it charges everything I have thrown at it so far.
Cons: None that I have found
Overall Review: I don't see any hint of quality or charging problems that other reviewers are mentioning. I wonder if the company has revamped this product since the poor reviews were written.. At $19 you cant go wrong with this product.
great when it's working
Pros: Simple, cheap, secure connections, SATA III speeds
Cons: The first adapter I ordered stopped working after about a week. There was no external evidence of damage or defect, so I'm sure there was just a loose connection internally. I ordered a replacement and that has been working great since day one. Every product production run will spit out a few bad eggs, I think the problems I had with the first adapter were just a fluke.
Overall Review: If your shopping for SATA M to M adapters your options are pretty limited. Overall this is a good product and one of the best implementations of this type of adapter that I have seen. At such a low price it's definitely worth your consideration
