moves air but..

Rexus Rexflo250mm Blue 250 mm Blue LED Silent LED FAN
Rexus Rexflo250mm Blue 250 mm Blue LED Silent LED FAN

Pros: Moves some serious air, the LEDs are bright bright bright, more than that stock 250mm on the thermaltake armor case does..but..

Cons: ok, whoever is packing these things.. you need to put in some screws that actually fit. I had to manually carve into the screw holes (pre drilled on this case) wide enough for the screw heads to fit so it would reach the bezel on the outside. would really be nice if i could use my stock screws for the 250mm fan, but the holes on the bezel are too small, and i wanted to mount this to the exterior so i could have more room inside my case. if you mount the fan INSIDE your case, (again on the thermaltake armor) the stock screws will be perfect. Also, i dont know if I received a bad one or something, but mine is loud as sin. maybe because i have it mounted externally, who knows, but it's quite loud. maybe if i get rambunctious ill mount it internally and see if there's a difference.

Overall Review: the stock thermaltake armor series 250mm fan brought some high levels of dust into the case as it was, with this moving more air than that, i hope you all recognize the need for monthly cleanings of your case. Just something to keep in mind with a fan this size.

Good gift idea

Rosewill RDF-011 Display: 1.1" STN Color LCD Viewing Direction: 12 O'clock view Color Quality: 4096 Colors Pixel: 96 x 64 pixels 1.1" Heart-Shape mini Digital Photo Frame
Rosewill RDF-011 Display: 1.1" STN Color LCD Viewing Direction: 12 O'clock view Color Quality: 4096 Colors Pixel: 96 x 64 pixels 1.1" Heart-Shape mini Digital Photo Frame

Pros: It will definitly make your female significant other say "Awww". Software was very easy to use and easy to load photos on to the device. Vista recognized it.

Cons: Kinda bulky. picture quality is pretty bad. My first one was broken, the end of the connection cable was snapped and the receptor on the device was also broken. Got it RMA'd and replaced with a good one

Overall Review: If you're not concerned with it being a Heart shape..check out Item#:N82E16882136165. The Coby digital keychain. It has a better resolution and looks like better quality for an inexpensive digital frame. And right now it's on sale!

Great Monitor

AOC 23" TN LCD Monitor 5 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI E2343FK E2343FK
AOC 23" TN LCD Monitor 5 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI E2343FK E2343FK

Pros: Extremely light and slim. I was absolutely dumbfounded by how slim this monitor is. The picture is incredible, once you get the settings right. Another commenter has said "Gamma 3, Brightness 100, Color boost: full", he's right..that pretty much fixes it. All of the connections are in the base of the monitor, not in the back, which saves on size. The base folds up in such a way that you can mount the monitor directly to a wall if you wish without buying an extra wall mount.

Cons: When you stand the monitor up (so as to NOT mount it on a wall), the monitor still tilts back a little bit, so if you sit lower than where your monitor is, you're going to have to do some finagling to get it where you're happy. Out of the box you'll need to adjust some settings, but that's the same pretty much with every monitor. No HDMI input, but that's okay, I'm happy with DVI. It's so light, when I lifted it out from the box, I almost threw it in to the ceiling.

Overall Review: I bought this to replace an ASUS monitor that had a vertical bar going down it, ASUS wanted $40 shipping each way, plus they needed to inspect the monitor in order for the warranty to be valid. I bought this one on a woot deal, refurbished, for $100, and I'm so glad I did. I'm thinking about replacing my second monitor, an LG LCD W53 series with another one of these

Very Good Fan

SilenX EFX-12-15B Blue LED Effizio Quiet Case Fan
SilenX EFX-12-15B Blue LED Effizio Quiet Case Fan

Pros: Very very quiet. LEDs are bright. Moves good air. Is a fan.

Cons: I can't think of any. Haven't failed, but have only owned for a short period of time.

Overall Review: I've watercooled my system in an effort to make it quiet (and cooler of course), but my radiator still takes 120mm fans, even though my HAF-X case has 200mm and 140mm fans... Anyways.. I've gone through several "quiet" fans from other brands.. Scythe, Rosewill, etc.. they all sounded like a jet engine taking off when they're attached to my radiator. I installed these, and they're so amazingly quiet it's ridiculous, my water pump is louder than these are now. So i figured, 'maybe they're not moving any air..'.. but based on holding my hand behind the radiator, they're moving a ton of air through it.. temps even dropped 1-2*C over the old fans. Would recommend.

Yeay Media Hub!

WD TV Live Hub 1TB Media Center - WDBABZ0010BBK-NESN
WD TV Live Hub 1TB Media Center - WDBABZ0010BBK-NESN

Pros: Plays everything. 1TB harddrive built in, unlike the ASUS O!Play HD2... The remote is easy to figure out how to use. Simple to install(3 cables..power HDMI and ethernet), and once you hook it up to a network it automatically lets you know if there's any firmware upgrades and whatnot. Also when its hooked into your network, you can play anything on it to any computer on that network which is awesome. Streams Netflix & YouTube quickly and flawlessly (my internet isn't that fast, but it still does it perfectly). The menus are simple to understand, but..

Cons: The only flaw i see is that it could be a bit annoying if you want to watch a movie from a USB flash drive, because you have to change the input for where the hub is looking.. Not terrible, but a separate menu would be nice. It won't make me tacos.

Overall Review: I usually don't sync things from a USB drive, and if I do, I plug the drive into my computer and download them over the network directly to the WD's built in hard drive and it reads them all just fine. If you look up the harddrive by itself, it lists at $120 alone, so this is also a steal in that respect. They say you can use the USB port in the back to plug in a BlueTooth keyboard or something of that nature, I haven't tried it yet but I would hope that works. And honestly, if you're just buying this to look at pictures on a TV or something, you're wasting your money. Seriously, no one wants to look at your kids on a 55" LED/LCD tv. Now turn the movie back on.

It's a fan!

XIGMATEK FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing) Cooling System XLF XLF-F1255 120mm Power Management White LED Black Case Fan PSU Molex Adapter/extender included

Pros: It's a fan..i bought 2 of them thinking a nice white light would look cool for a case fan.. they move a fair amount of air.. one of them is dead silent, the other has a weird vibration to it, so we'll see what happens with it..

Cons: Like i said, i thought the lights would look good in my case.. and while most LED fans i've owned have the LED"s on the inside so they reflect from the blades and really glow nicely, these LED's are on the outside of the frame.. so they dont really light anything up, except whats directly around them.. kinda sad, but oh well.

Overall Review: i dont know how the PWN management pins work on a mobo to control the fan speed.. my mobo has only 4-pin connectors directly on the board for fans, but none of them would power the fans..so they're plugged directly into the PSU, which makes them run at full speed all the time. But realistically, they're so quiet it doesn't really make a difference..i also have them mounted on a swiftech 240mm radiator, so i'd rather have them on full blast all the time anyways.. yeah.
