Pros: Cost is low, capacity is large. Sleep functions (default 15 minutes) are easily turned off, if needed with the Seagate Manager.

Cons: The utility needed to disable the sleep function wasn't included on the disk, and I had to download it from Seagate.

Overall Review: I found lots of complaints regarding the sleep function, and not having a way to turn it off. Since I'm attaching it to my WRT160NL to be used as NAS, I needed to disable sleep. I downloaded the Seagate Manager (http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/support/software/FreeAgentCN.zip) and was able to quickly change the setting while the drive was connected to my desktop. I wouldn't worry about the sleep function, and I'm not concerned with drive longevity or electricity costs so I don't need the disk to spin down or 'sleep'.
