High wattage personal use UPS with slim profile and light weight!
Pros: Attractive design, easy to read LCD, slim profile and light weight. Plenty of power rating for a single gaming PC, monitor and accessories. Ten outlets (5 battery, 5 surge) with two spaced apart for large power adapters. Two front panel USB charging ports.
Cons: Bundled software is easy to configure and use, but a bit lacking in some features. Example: Audible alarms can be enabled or disabled, but not based on time of day or volume level. Runtime can be optimized to preserve battery power or keep computer running, but drop-downs are limited and no option to turn this function off. Overall it's a decent, basic utility.
Overall Review: Bought this to replace an APC BR1500LCD UPS that died suddenly after seven years. Decided to try a different manufacturer this time around, and the CyberPower units looked like a good alternative with highly rated reviews. This GX1325U model has almost the same power handling capacity as a 1500 VA equivalent, but only two-thirds the weight and nearly half the price with Newegg's awesome promo codes!
Slower than advertised
Pros: Average cost for USB 2.0/3.0 drive capacity Small size Rugged construction
Cons: Doesn't hit advertised speeds Barely faster than USB 2.0 Stuttering when used for gaming
Overall Review: ATTO results 35KB/s write 45KB/s read This is on a late model Haswell system. When using the drive as an install point for running a game from, stuttering was observed in game graphics. If you're using this solely to backup your files or copy from PC to PC you'll be ok. If you're thinking this is fast enough to run an application or game from, it's not.
Another great Acer monitor, great price, great quality!
Pros: Zero dead/stuck pixels Superb value/price Simple design
Cons: OSD menu a bit clunky to use and poorly explained
Overall Review: I have owned numerous Acer monitors over the past fifteen years and have never had a problem with any, they have all performed admirably and far exceed their life expectancy. I opted to upgrade my 27" WQHD as I have been working from home since March and like others have stated, wanted a bigger screen rather than multiple smaller ones. I like to snap my applications to the four corners and more real estate makes for easier reading. When the work day is over, a single large 1440 display is easier on the GPU for gaming and this Acer does not disappoint!
Great-sounding earbuds for the price!
Pros: Very good sound with nice bass response Comfortable enough for extended wear Angled ear pieces made to fit left and right Flat ribbon wiring resistant to tangling Built-in microphone and pause/play button
Cons: Strange 135° plug angle Cables transfer boominess to ear
Overall Review: Got these on a Newegg Flash sale for an incredible price. Superior sound, particularly bass response, compared to other cheap earbuds at this price point. Although due to the bass tubes, there's a bit of "boominess" transferred from the cables to your ear, just by moving or contacting the wires. Three different size cups to adjust fit, slide further in the ear canal than other buds, blocks out ambient sounds. Very comfortable for extended use, fit nearly flush with outer ear so even laying on side with these in is possible. The flat cables are less likely to tangle although still easily twisted and don't wrap well when not in use. The angled ear pieces are easily discernable between left and right just by feel, rather than guessing or looking for "R" or "L" on the housing. The 135° angled 3.5mm plug is a bit strange, would prefer a 90°, and it doesn't offer any benefit over a straight 180° that I can tell.
Fast US shipping, clean cabling, works with 3pin or 4pin fans.
Pros: Shipped by Newegg from the US Daisy chain cabling cleaner and less bulky than a 3-way splitter cable Works with 3pin or 4pin fans, controlled via VR or PWM from motherboard
Cons: Can't mix 3pin and 4pin and modulate speed of both
Overall Review: Perfect cable to run three fans from a single motherboard header. Make sure fans total amperage is less than 1A. Recommend same make/model fans used on all three connectors. Use either all 3pin and control via VR or all 4pin and use PWM, if mixed 3pin will run full speed.
Impressive graphics
Pros: Fastest AMD APU Currently Unlocked multiplier Runs cooler than predecessor
Cons: Clocks slower than predecessor CPU throttles to 3Ghz when iGPU at full load CPU performance is meh
Overall Review: If you're looking for an all-in-one solution that will give you decent CPU performance with great iGPU performance then there's no better than AMD APU's. If you're looking for higher CPU results however you're better off with an Intel chip and a discrete GPU.
