Another Kickin Product

XFX HD-489A-ZDEC Radeon HD 4890 Xtreme 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card
XFX HD-489A-ZDEC Radeon HD 4890 Xtreme 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

Pros: This card is great. I had no problems with the installation what so ever. I'm water cooling it right out of the box. Overclocks very nicely so far 1000/1100 is a breeze with artifacts. All my games are on max setting and are running very smooth and fast.

Cons: $$$PRICE$$$

Overall Review: I thought about crossfire with another one of these cards.... but, I can't see any reason to do so.

Most Critical Review

Cheaply built

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: So far it does what it says it will. Games run good with few if any sound glitches. Build wise, this is only an average sound card.

Cons: I was very disappointed to that Creative used Jamicon capacitors, they are junk caps. They are also standing on long legs. A card of this price should have better quality components and better workmanship. I do have the "pause bug" also. Play an AC3 5.1 movie and press the pause button a few times, you'll get it. This board needs to be recapped. They used the same cap type all over the board, not good. Computer and audio should have different type caps. This is amatureish! Creative knows that they have the market in their hands, I'm not impressed.

Overall Review: I think the Bluegears sound card would be a much better buy. Let Creative get the picture and start giving people a better product.

Disapointment

XFX Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD-489A-ZDFC
XFX Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD-489A-ZDFC

Pros: This card is useless to me.

Cons: Compared to my other 2 xfx 4890's ZDEC, ZDDC... this one is junk and performs no where near the other two. I'm sorry I bought it because it is a non-reference card. The naked card is not like the other two and I can not mount my EK-FC4890 water block on it. This card was going to be the number 2 card in crossfire setup.

Overall Review: Spend more money for the ZDEC version or if you can find it, the ZDDC version.

Great block

Enzotech Sapphire Series SNBW-REV.A Northbridge Waterblock
Enzotech Sapphire Series SNBW-REV.A Northbridge Waterblock

Pros: Slapped this block on my northbridge after putting the extended mounting plate on it. It really worked out nicely and looks kewl also.

Cons: none so far

Lovin it big!!!

XFX HD-489A-ZDDC Radeon HD 4890 XXX Edition 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card
XFX HD-489A-ZDDC Radeon HD 4890 XXX Edition 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

Pros: This card is very stable under pressure. I have it running 1000:1150 water cooled straight out of the box of coarse and it's steady. Looking to buy a second one soon for crossfire. You won't go wrong buying this card.

Cons: Price.

Good stuff, yeps

GeIL Evo One 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GE24GB1066C5DC

Pros: Great memory and very stable under benchmarking. Noticed an immediate difference while gaming (Oblivion, Fallout3, etc.).

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Those of you that are using large heat sinks on CPU should beware that you might have a tight fit. These sticks are tall, so do your research before throwing down your dough. Other than that... go git you sum.... you'll like it.
