Great performance gain over my i5-12400

Intel Core i5-14500 - Core i5 14th Gen Raptor Lake 14-Core (6P+8E) LGA 1700 65W Intel UHD Graphics 770 Processor - BX8071514500

Pros: NovaBench score went from 2900 to 3500 - same memory, ssd and RTX 4060ti gpu

Overall Review: I installed the jan2024 bios update on my Asrock b660 motherboard and installed the gpu- I didnt have to worry- booted fine. I bumped the power level in the bios from 65 to 75 watts. My 24 yr old daughter is enjoying the extra speed on her gaming/content creation PC I built .

Easy build using a RX 6500 xt

ASRock H610M-HDV LGA 1700 Intel H610 SATA 6Gb/s DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard

Pros: I decided to buy this motherboard to use up my sata3 drives - 1tb Mx500, DVD/RW and WD 3-1/2 2tb game drive. I liked the smaller size for this 3yr old $20 Rosewill FBM-XI case- I used an $87 g7400 Pentium and its a balanced cpu for this AMD RX 6500 XT card . This PCs benchmarks are over 2000 on Novabench with this new gpu. I really dont miss the M.2 ssd drives. The USB 3.2 ports were a nice surprise.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Quite a bit more of a performance boost with this 12th Gen Intel over my 10th Gen .

Ok for WIN 7

Pros: Easy install of drivers using the CD. Ran the Win 7 upgrade test on my old Dell E510 and it passed all tests- finally. Cheapest card I could find that passed for Win 7 Aero video and had drivers for Win 7, Vista and XP. I'm getting another one for a 3 year old inexpensive Vista computer before I upgrade it, too. Low power supply requirement of 300 watts just cut it on my Dell's 305 W supply.

Cons: None really for the $19.95 price after rebate.
