Pros: Overclocked to 740/2080 without a hitch. Solid and well built. People seem to think that ECS is a low quality brand, but from the looks of it, they have just as much quality as the more trusted brands. It's the best deal on a G92 GTS after the $50 MIR.
Cons: Big and takes up 2 slots. But I can't really call these cons. I had about 1 inch to spare in my Antec 900. Gets a little hot on load, hitting 82C sometimes.
Overall Review: Scores about 12.7K in 3dmark06 with a firstname.lastname@example.orgGhz, DS3L and 2 gigs DDR2800@4-4-4-12 2T. If you've got a quad core, you'll be getting closer to 15K like Knut. Lastly, nvidia drivers set the default fan speed at 37%, which is quiet but not very cool. 100% fan speed takes the load temp down by 20C (to about 60C), but it sounds like a jet engine. It' loud as hell.
good while it lasted
Pros: fast and quiet, until . . .
Cons: it began to fail after about 6 months. I bought the drive in May, and now it's October, and windows only boots 50% of the time. The drive fails both long and short DST, and generic tests cause the drive to hang and ultimately cause windows to crash.
Overall Review: This is my first Samsung drive, and my first hard drive to fail. I guess I'm going back to WD; I've never had one of their drives fail on me.
Pros: nearly silent - I have 4 of these fans over two 120mm radiators in one case, and they are silent unless you put your ear up to them. good airflow - a decent amount of wind is pushed by these fans.
Cons: The airflow clearly isn't as much as the specs say, but it's plenty as long as you don't need a tornado in your case.
Overall Review: Hands down, these are the best fans on newegg if you have water cooling and you want a practically silent loop. I'm buying 4 more after I write this review.
great exhaust fan
Pros: quiet and moves a lot of air
Overall Review: This is an exhaust fan, not an intake fan. The wiring and support spokes will be exposed if you use it for intake. Also, the blue lights are very bright. They will light up a dark room. This fan fit perfectly right in to the side panel of my Antec 900 and works great (the blue lights match very well). However, I have it mounted backwards for intake right now, so the wiring is on the exposed side.
Great for the price
Pros: If you want a nice mobo without all the bells and whistles, this is it. Paired with an e2160, I was able to get a stable bus speed of 400MHz (1600MHZ effective) with a +0.1v adjustment to both the northbridge and FSB voltages.
Cons: No SLI or any of that other stuff, but if you're buying this mobo, then you probably don't want that anyways.
Overall Review: Plenty of room for aftermarket heatsinks. I was able to get an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro on my processor and a Thermaltake CL-C0034 on the northbridge with about a cm to spare. The ds3l is notorious for having a hot northbridge with overclocking, but even with that and the extra voltage, I never break 54C with the aftermarket cooler. Lastly, to access the expanded BIOS options Which you need for overclocking, press CRTL+F1 in the main BIOS screen.
