Good Value
Pros: A lot of features for a very low price, certainly an upgrade from my old CRT. Picture is good quality, but does anyone really notice the difference of 1080p on this small set? Give me your eyes.
Cons: My first gripe is regarding the speakers: There is an audible wheezing sound from the tv at lower volumes. May just be defective unit- anyone else experiencing this? And, to reiterate, the sound is weaker than what a lot of people are used to. But of course, routing all sound through a receiver with stereo speakers bypasses these drawbacks. Secondly- I have issues making HDMI to cooperate with my computer. The display on TV does not appear when booting pc with HDMI cable connected. And, never any sound. I suppose I might not be tech savvy enough (patient enough) to resolve this... Lastly- When using the S-Video input mode, the image does not seem to auto detect the aspect ratio. I imagine that having to reselect it, when changing sources, will get old...
Overall Review: I rate this unit high for features, but not as high for quality & functionality. But, that is exactly what to expect from a good "value," low cost box such as this. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase as an introduction to flat screen tvs.
decent case for great price
Pros: Spacious- I have 2 hard drives, 2 disk drives, 2 pci cards and room to spare. Doesn't get cheaper than this.
Cons: A little chincy, especially when connecting components in the back. Also, funny design prevented me from connecting pci cards properly without leaving a small open space in the back.
Overall Review: Probably worth spending a little more for a sturdier model (but I have nothing to compare it to.) Overall it's adequate.
el cheapo
Pros: cost
Cons: The cost reflects the quality. There is no structural integrity when stacked horizontally- disk would be prone to breakage or scratches.
0/2 - thumbs down.
Pros: I just don't know.
Cons: Both units were effectively D.O.A.
Overall Review: First unit had bad sector that could not be repaired. The replacement unit wouldn't even format. Major hassle.
Dimensions
Pros: nothing to add here.
Cons: If this is a replacement, be prepared to take the motherboard out to put on a new backplate (frame might not match your current setup.) NewEgg: please put exact dimensions in the details-duh! (we already know how big the fan is.)
Overall Review: For the folks reading these pointless comments about how the cooler "should" fit this or that- Here is a USEFUL review: This cooler stands 6 3/8" tall, the other dimensions are 3 1/8" x 4 3/4". Users here have no idea how your "mid-size" case is spaced with the M.B. (I can't figure out why they are even guessing at it), so you'll have to measure for yourself. You must make sure that the distance from the top of the CPU to the opposite side panel exceeds the required distance.
