Works great, awesome specs
Pros: - HDMI out with for my HTPC setup, 42" Monitor and XBMC + iPod Touch remote app is heaven. Pure heaven. - Awesome specs. Can't be beat. I can probably play most, if not all of the games I enjoy on my desktop albeit at lower res and such. - Small! It's a lot tinier than I thought it'd be - Runs pretty cool, I haven't tried under heavy load but playing 1080p movies it runs decently cool.
Cons: Intel HD Graphics drivers are not really fun to work with!
Overall Review: Totally worth it, get it if you can afford it.
Absolutely terrible.
Pros: None, it didn't work.
Cons: The monitor they sent was completely defective without any damaging to the box to the hardware itself from shipping, i have searched google and came to the conclusion that KDS monitors are generally defective, i would turn on the monitor and it would display the screen for 3 seconds, then abruptly turn off, and no i don't mean a backlight issue; this thing was GONE - if you want quility go Samsung or something else in this price range, it is simply not worth it. I wish this product was refundable as i don't trust KDS any longer, I'm going to try to get a replacement but from what I've heard it either won't work at all or will be defective shortly after i get it to work.
Overall Review: Would be a decent monitor if KDS produced quality products.
Anime/Manga guy
Pros: I'll be comparing this to an iPod Touch I purchased, as well as some iPads I have used. Since that's their primary competition, it seems fitting. - No super restrictive store policy, that means 4chan app, uTorrent app, various methods to host SSH and various other super nerd things you desire. I actually plan on digging into the SDK and working on one or two myself. - With a downloaded app I was able to play 720p HorribleSubs releases (this is anime for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about) and some other releases as well. It probably plays regular TV shows and movies with similar encoding just fine, too, but I haven't tested it yet. (Try MX Player) - Great for reading anything. - You can use it as an XBMC remote just like any apple device, which I enjoy thoroughly. - Battery power seems to last a good while
Cons: - Well, there's a learning curve! You can actually remove the "recommended" apps and other things from the front quite easily, drag them into the "remove" button. Same goes for everything else. Once you have rearranged everything proper, get to installing! There's a ton of great, free apps out there. I'm enjoying it a lot. The learning curve isn't so much of a con for people like me, but people not familiar with computers or tablets might be bothered. - Some stuff on the store is bothersome, one installed a shortcut on the front and did nothing that it advertised. That sucked. - Though the battery life seems long, charging also takes a good while. To be expected, I guess. - Sad to say there's no manga reader currently for android that can match MangaStorm on apple devices. I'm hoping that changes in the future, otherwise there is some slightly less good alternatives, they're still easy to use and pretty great of their own merit though. All in all -1 egg, nothing that bugs me enough to regret the purchase.
Overall Review: Go ahead and get it, I'm enjoying it. It's got a pretty great price tag for what it can do, too.
Pros: - Waterproof and fireproof, never lose important documents, or things sensitive to air quality and such (it's sealed) - Tough - Heavy
Cons: - It has wheels, might want to bolt it to the floor or at least remove the wheels before putting anything important in there. I don't want a safe that can be wheeled away. - Battery powered electronic access, but what do you expect. Do not lose the keys.
Pros: - 64-bit, webcam, decent CPU, 500GB drive, DVD-Multi. Perfect college laptop, I'd say. Let's not lie to ourselves there are better ones out there, but this one is pretty decent. - Has HDMI out but I don't expect to be able to do much with it.
Cons: - Again with the OEM software which is awful and bothersome, it's the same case with a lot of computers lately. I guess it's to reduce the price so I guess I can be fine with it, but be prepared to uninstall a lot of stuff.
Overall Review: Bought this for my brother who's attending college this year, I'll be able to skype with him and webcam and such and it'll help him study and complete his course work. Win/win. Works for everything I need it for.
Pros: - Extremely small for a desktop PC, they did a good job making it compact. - Great for somebody who just browses the net and plays SIMPLE games, 2d graphics and such. Wouldn't try to play Skyrim on it or anything Not really much else to say in this department, it works. Despite somebody else saying there's no front USB and Audio ports, there are. I guess they forgot to open the panel on the front of the case........... wow.
Cons: - DVD drive opens sideways, unless you lay the machine on the side I suppose. Standing upright it's vertical. Might not bug many of you, but it does bug me a little. Especially since it seems backward to me (DVD tray is facing away from you if you keep it to the right side of you) - Comes with a bunch of OEM badware, needed to uninstall a bunch of it. The same situation happened with me when I bought an Acer laptop. Minor inconvenience but inconvenience just the same.
Overall Review: I bought this as a present for my grandmother who was running on a 2001 DELL. Obviously, this beats the pants off of it. She only ever plays 2d games and browses the net so it's perfect for her, and it saves her a bunch of space. She also now has a DVD burner which she's trying to figure out.
