Pros: Quiet, looks brand new, works right out of the box, keeps you cool without blowing everything in the room around, small footprint. Can be used to purify the room without having the air blowing on you.
Cons: Expensive and costs a lot for the ceramic filter that needs replacing once a year.
Remote hard to operate in the dark in bed with no raised surface. It’s completely smooth and hard to figure out which button to press with no light.
Overall Review: Small footprint but great fan. Had a hard time swallowing the price but decided with all my allergies I would give it a try since it also purifies the air. I can’t say yet if I’m better off with my sinuses sleeping with it on or not. I do like it as a fan. It’s very quiet. It looks brand new. Came well boxed!! The remote looked VERY used and was missing paint (the reason for deducting 1 egg) but I reached out to the seller and was quickly mailed out a new remote with battery. Very happy with the seller for doing this. Overall I’m glad I bought it and I keep it on 1 when I’m not home as recommended by the tutorial videos on other sites. Keeping it on 1 purifies the air without running the fan to cool the room. I live in S Florida where it’s always hot. It’s nice to have and have given up my ceiling fan that’s too hard to keep clean.
Pros: It powers 4 USB devices. The cable from the port to the computer is pretty long.
Cons: Its big and bulky. I plugged in the same 4 devices from my non-powered UBS port and I immediately got a notice on my iMac that some devices needed more power. Same devices that just came from a non-powered port. What's that say?
Pros: Received this today. The stone color is a very pretty blue topaz and I like how the stone is set. Nice size stone too. Came in a much nicer light blue with white ribbon gift box compared to the thick cardboard fold out gift boxes other retailers are using.
Cons: Comes with a thin link chain; not a box chain like other retailers are using. Guess the nicer box compensates for the cheaper made chain. The chain has the ability to be worn at a shorter length but when you look closely at the necklace, the 2nd link down from this extra large loop is attached to the large loop along with the 1st link. It's a minor flaw but makes it look cheaply made. I'm crossing my fingers the recipient doesn't ever notice it because she is so busy looking at the pretty stone.
Overall Review: I knocked two eggs off because it passed QC with the link soldered to the larger closure loop and the fact that the chain is thin and cheap looking. Oravo uses a box chain that looks to be a much better quality. You can't really see the chain because you are only given one picture of the pendant.
Pros: Pretty color London Blue Topaz color. Looks pretty well made for the price.
Cons: Comes in zip bags inside a necklace cardboard gift box. Not happy about that. Not proper presentation for a gift. Also has a "do not remove tag or void warranty" sticker on one earring and the bail of the necklace. Can't imagine what the recipient will think when she opens the box and sees those. But you can't remove them in case they don't like them or you need to ship them back.
Overall Review: Can see minimum flaws with the silver so that's why I knocked off one egg.
Pros: Nice garnet color.
Cons: I mailed this item back today for a replacement hoping the next one looks less cheap and better made. The stone looked hammered into the bezel setting and the bail had an extra piece of metal/silver on it in the front. Both were clearly noticeable and looked like junk costume jewelry. Comes in a cheesy cardboard gift box that you will want to throw away and give in a much nicer box or you will look like you purchased costume jewelry as a gift for a loved one.
Overall Review: Also ordered this in the peridot and returned it today as well. Returned the peridot one because of a flaw with the outer circle. One spot was thinner than the rest and noticeable while wearing. Emailed Oravo customer service asking for replacements of both the garnet and peridot and sent pics of both pieces. Was given a RMA number and a statement that read, "that is how the item is constructed".
Pros: Looks clean and crisp; unlike some of the other pendants I have received from Oravo this week. Pretty dark red color.
Cons: Came in cheesy cardboard gift box. Will need to be replaced with a finer looking gift box or the recipient will know I paid less than fifteen for it.
Overall Review: Ordered a few other Oravo pendants that I shipped back because of the quality so I believe what we get is hit or miss. I got lucky with this one but had to send back two others from same order.
Pros: Real silver and real peridot
Cons: I sent this item back today for a replacement because the bottom of the necklace was thinner in one spot and very noticeable. Came in a cardboard gift box. Not something you want to give to someone getting it as a gift. Will try a 2nd one to see if any better quality.
Overall Review: Contacted Oravo directly as they instruct on the packing slip. Was told, "that is how the item is constructed". Also sent back the garnet version as the stone looked like it was hammered into the bezel setting both on the front and the back. Garnet also had extra piece of metal stuck to the bail.
Pros: Beautiful cut, color, and clarity.
Overall look and feel of the stone is amazing. I bought this item as a gift and am very happy with my choice.
Cons: Cheesy gift box. Box is made for a pair of earrings not a necklace or pendant. Chain and pendant are shipped in a zip bag within the cardboard box and are separated in the bag. Pendant comes with a "return policy void if tag removed " tag wrapped around the bail.
Overall Review: Submitted my order on Saturday at 7:21 am PST, received my order in the mailbox on Monday; CA to FL. Wow that's fast!!!
Not quite as bright of a blue as the picture shows. More of a soft blue topaz.
Pros: Replaced my OEM that came with the printer with this unit about a month ago and I see absolutely no difference in the print quality or the printer itself. Not one problem. Not one complaint. Will buy again and again. Huge savings off the original brand name.
Pros: Works great.
Cons: None that I know of.
Overall Review: Bought this for my sister who only wanted a 1-2 cup capacity coffee maker to make her own special flavors without having to load up the big Cuisanart one. She said it works great and she is very happy that it has the permanent filter.
Pros: It's a Wii.
Cons: Remote loses connection with the system from time to time and we have no idea why that is. You have to re-establish the connection manually. Seems kinda pricey for what you really get. All the good old-timer games have to be purchased on the web directly from Nintendo.
Overall Review: There's really nothing more to say. I don't own any of the other brands so I really can't compare it to them. Looking forward to trying out the Sports Resort that came out last month. We tend to like the ones where we get several games on one CD so you have things to choose from. Wish there were different kinds of games that I see with the other systems.
Pros: It is one of the only 2-in-1 combo units on the market. It has a sleek design that takes up a lot less space than the Linksys unit.
Cons: I use gotomypc all day long for work and I've noticed that with this gateway, the internet connection is being refreshed about every 30-60 mins. My old Linksys gateway never did this and I never had a problem with my internet connection. It's a pain to have it reconnecting or refreshing every hour when you are working through a site such as gotomypc. That's my only reason for the one egg hit. Otherwise I am very pleased with the product.
Pros: I bought this to surf the internet and check emails while sitting in bed or in front of the TV instead of sucking the life out of my iMac and sitting in the same chair all day and night (my office is home based). You can see the web pages without having to scroll to the right. Colors and clarity are great. It seems to be very fast surfing the internet. Battery life is at least 4 hrs on a single charge (6-cell). It is a light pastel pink with a pearlized white base. Looking at it as a user you can't see any pink though. Definitely a pro to have the 6-cell battery. Carrying case is a plus as well since you tend to take this with you went you walk out the door for the day. Works great at the local coffee shop, waiting area at the car dealership, etc. Makes the time go so much faster! See my Other Thoughts for the reason for one egg hit.
Cons: Comes with no paperwork other than the fold out sheet that doesn't tell you what the symbols shown mean and two CDs (for a unit that does not have a CD-ROM drive). Some web pages that are pre-fit to a normal screen size you can't see the bottom of the web page. *Tip* You have to press the tab key if you need to scroll down but the scrollbar on the right is not there. It's a little top heavy so I find myself holding the unit with the left hand while typing with just the right (not normally how I type). Not really a con but girls, if you are buying this because of the pink heart because you think girls will come up and compliment you or ask you were you got your cute pink heart netbook, think again. It is so subtle you can hardly see it unless you are a foot from it. Memory can be upgraded from 1MB to 2MB with the purchase of an add'l MB for about 12 dollars but YOU WILL VOID THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY if you remove that 9th screw. Try it for at least 30 days before you decide to void.
Overall Review: I was initially going to give this a bad review because when I got it, after two days of ownership, it froze up on me and I had to hold down the power button to reboot it (twice within an hour). I called MSi and they told me it was not the hard drive and suggested I perform the recovery on it and put it under extreme stress by running every program I could. So far it has not done it again since. It only worked on the internet for one week and then I could no longer use it without an ethernet cable. I contacted Newegg but they directed me to MSi and after hours on the phone with MSi, Linksys, and Comcast I got no where. Come to find out, it does not play nice with my 4 yr old Linksys Wireless-G Cable Gateway. I contacted a computer repair tech who told me the new netbooks don't work. So I have since ordered a new wireless gateway unit from Newegg. The netbook works great at the local coffee shop, my friend's house, the local car dealership waiting room, my next door neighbor's, etc.
Pros: Works as you would expect it to with no issues between a 1.1 and a 2.0 USB port
Pros: Called Apple to confirm that this memory would work in my iMac 20-inch early 2008 (as stated on my AppleCare Protection Plan Certificate) model MB323LL/A with the 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Can't believe how cheap memory is to do such a minor thing that makes such a major impact.
Cons: None so far (still waiting on my order though - just purchased it yesterday).
Overall Review: I also found out from Apple that this particular model will accept a 2GB in the empty slot for a total of 3GB. I hesitated buying just a 2GB module for fear that it wouldn't accept a 2GB along side a 1GB. Apple did confirm though that some models do require you to keep the same memory amount in each slot (1 with 1 or 2 with 2).
Pros: Purchased 12/07 to use in my BlackBerry Pearl and it hasn't given me one bit of trouble. Everything works great. Can't believe the drop in price on this item in the last year. If you need one, I highly recommend getting it for the price it is today. I paid $40 when I initially purchased this just over a year ago! $9.99 is a HUGE difference. I'm considering purchasing another one as a backup "just in case".
Pros: Worked right out of the packaging and great price for a 4GB SDHC. Everyone should pick up a few; especially when Newegg puts them on sale!!! Can't beat the price either way.
Pros: Works as you would expect it to. The first thing I tested out on it was the memory card from my BlackBerry and it pulled up all the data on my pc desktop so I could save all my pictures, etc. without having to email them to myself.
Overall Review: Mine came with an "extension" cord so even though the initial cord on the unit is only a few inches long, the extra cord shipped with it works perfectly for plugging it into your pc. I love that it does not require add'l software to use it. It is truly a plug and play item.
