Pros: Simple basic card that does what it is supposed to and is perfectly adequate for most desktop video tasks. Seamless install on new system with MSI K9A2 Platinum - Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit (restricted NVIDIA drivers add functionality).

Cons: WOA (wounded on arrival - not really "dead" as it will post). Made the mistake of buying early and putting under tree for a X-Mas computer build with kids. Board posts but Ubuntu (8.04 and 8.10) and XP (SP2 - legal) won't load, seemingly due to motherboard issues related to the onboard video chip set (all other components tested on other build and work fine, including CPU, Memory, Hard Drive, DVD drive, and power supply. My real mistake was buying early and not testing until Christmas day, putting myself out of town during the rest of return period, meaning I'll eat the cost of the board. So, note well: You buy it, TEST IT... Not New Eggs problem, I know (their return policy is fair and clear). I have had great luck with Asus, but this has pushed me to try a Gigabyte motherboard...

Cons: None if you keep track of what you are buying.

Overall Review: This is not a system for an audiophile, but any audiophile would know that given the price and specs. For playing tunes while you work, very adequate. For DJing your next kegger? Not happening.

Pros: Works. Audio buttons work in Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit out of the box.

Cons: Mouse a bit small (it tapers a fair amount from button end to end closest to the user).

Overall Review: For the price it seems hard to beat.

Pros: Ubuntu 8.10 (64 bit) installed without a hickup. Has yet to need an undesired reboot. Appears and feels well made. Shipped with all the cables one would need for a basic install. BIOS is easy to work with (note: I don't overclock). Manual simply adequate.

Pros: Super-fast shipping, product works as advertised (it's a switch, it switches, life is good).

Cons: Box from NewEgg in perfect shape. Box product was in was shrink-wrapped and also showed no signs of damage. Upon opening, switch had minor nicks and scratches on top. I didn't see anything in the box that could have caused it... Either re-packaged item or someone dropped it at the factory and just tossed it back in line.

Overall Review: It's a switch and the scratches don't bother me given where I put it, but I do wonder if it was really new...
