good speakers, good value
Pros: Good quality sound, thumping (yet adjustable) sub-woofer, great speakers for close-range listening/movie watching. Very pleased with my purchase and would recommend them.
Cons: Volume control is a little clunky - the wire in particular is heavy and the control box is light enough that it won't just 'sit' where you put it because the wire is stiff. Nit-picky, I know. Also, the speaker wires could be a little longer - with the subwoofer & computer to the side of the desk, the wires are barely long enough to place the speaker on the far side of my monitor.
Overall Review: I bought these speakers because of the good reviews they had received on the sound quality and was not disappointed. They sound great and the sub-woofer is more than powerful enough to match the speakers. The large volume control dial is nice and has smooth rotating action. The reviews about them not being very loud are true - they are plenty loud if you're in the room or 1 room away, but if I put some music on and am wandering around the house, they don't put out quite enough sound.
Pros: Plugged it in, went through the set-up, and had no problems attaching my wireless devices. The user interface is more complicated than my previous router, which makes some functions harder to find, but the flexibility in the set-up is nice. I've had no dropped wireless issues (connecting on n), no troubles with the connection to my Wii, and the wire connection has been rock solid, as expected.
Cons: Blue LEDs are REALLY bright. Need to move the router to a hidden location, which is a shame, because its a nice looking piece of hardware.
good router for a couple of years
Pros: Good router with very infrequent power cycling required. Has been great for several years now.
Cons: Just recently developed a problem with the wireless connection and requires frequent resets, but have owned it for several years, so maybe to be expected?
Overall Review: Wired connection works fine with no power cycling required.
Pros: Good fit, many buttons, very customizable, scroll wheel works well (I really like the fell of the rubberized wheel). USB transmitter fits into mouse for easy packing. Auto power on/off.
Cons: The forward/back buttons are a little awkward to push, but I don't use them much anyway. Only reason for a 4/5 eggs.
Overall Review: The mouse is a bit small for me to use all of the time, but a great option to carry with my notebook to use when I'm away from my desk. Also, I'd probably get a bluetooth enabled mouse next time around to automatically connect without the dongle.
