Pros: I needed new drives for system rebuild. I have used WD drives for many years. Newegg has the parts and got them right out to me. I will have to see how these drives work out.
Overall Review: Good service, fast shipping and great prices, why go else where?
Pros: It's already put together. Closed system, filled and ready to go. It's a Corsair !!
Cons: The coolant hoses are pretty stiff and beefy. I had to warm them up to make them a bit more pliable. Not a deal killer though, just let them sit in the sunshine for a few.
Overall Review: Great for the first time H2O cooling system. Great price too !!!
Pros: Faster than 7 or XP, I prefer the 64 bit Pro series seems to run steady
Cons: Let the user install what he/she wants, don't cram Cortia, Edge, Ect up our backsides ... We own it, let us choose ... too much backend apps.
Overall Review: Yeah, it's costly ... It's Microsoft ... Still a great product, runs networked large jumbo nets well, remotes well too
Pros: Easy to use, cleans off the old junk very well and the smell does not choke everyone in the room.
Cons: none ...
Overall Review: Arctic Silver is a good brand .... Buy it ....
Pros: These NAS drives have run well so far. They are in a Buffalo Pro Quad. Running in JBOD mode for now. Will RAID them in the future. They run 24/7, nice and cool, and seem to perform fine.
Cons: None, so far. I read all the horror stories about these drives,I have not had any such problems.
Overall Review: Hard drives are hit and miss at times. But I have found Western Digital to be strong runners. NAS drives are a users preference. I have some systems running Seagate NAS drives and this one with WD NAS. Get them installed and running, and don't mess with them. Do some research, buy from Newegg, if you need to RMA a drive, Newegg support is the best.
Pros: Picked up 2 of the 3TB drives for my NAS build. I have used the 2TB version for other builds. So far the drives seem to load and go right to work. They have good speed and are quite. They are running 24 hours for a few days, then only while the Storage system is needed. Needs flex so it puts them to the test.
Cons: None as of yet .... Still testing.
Overall Review: Only time and usage will tell for these drives. If they run as well as the 2TB version, going to be a great buy. I hope Seagate lives up to its good reputation.. Running RAID setup well, will be going to RAID 10 soon. Then I will see how it goes.
Pros: Good price for the system, got it on sale. Buffalo still has a good reputation. Set up is straight forward. I am running two of these at RAID 10. One being a backup of the other. Speed of transfers are good. Interface is a bit of a pain, but workable. Running Linux OS, easy script control for the systems. They run 24/7 and keep on performing well.
Cons: Only 3 TB max for drives. Set up directions just ok. Speed of tranfers +\- . Running jumbo frame seems to be better. Only USB 2.0. Keep it cool, can get a bit warm running 4 drives. Non upgradable ram. Not hot drive swappable, rebuild on an Array is slow.
Overall Review: Running 4 drives can be a bit expensive. Have to be matched drives from what I had had experience with. Running Seagate 2TB NAS series. So far it seems to be a good match. All in all, price is good for a steady NAS.
