Excellent

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite 120 GB Hard Drive Black
Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite 120 GB Hard Drive Black

Pros: The Hardware is nuts. Six 3.2ghz threads at a 2.7ghz FSB? Yes please. I'm sure you know full well about gaming on a 360, so i wont go there, other than to Reiterate "Gears of War." The multimedia features of the 360 are pretty impressive as well. Xbox Live and Arcade are nifty, and you can stream music and videos from your PC, so you don't even have to use up the 120GB with those things.

Cons: If you're using an LCD Monitor, with an HDMI-DVI Adapter, and you're also using Logitech speakers of the X-230/X-540 variety, you'll run into a bit of trouble. The regular RCA adapter has a big lump of plastic on one side that will block the HDMI port. There is a stereo out dongle that will fit along with the HDMI connection, but the connectors on it are female, as are the ends on the Logitech adapter. I had to scamper down to RadioS**** to grab some Male to Male RCA couplers to make the bridge, but once those were in it was set. You can avoid this by getting the MS adapter that has VGA and RCA adapters on it, but it's more expensive, and a minuscule downgrade in video quality.

Overall Review: With Halo 3 on the very near horizon [or easily here by the time you read this review] and the various improvements of the Elite, now is a pretty good time to get a 360. I held off until now, but wish I'd gotten one sooner.

Very stiff

Furmax Office Desk Leather Gaming, High Back Ergonomic Adjustable Racing Task Swivel Executive Computer Chair Headrest and Lumbar Support (Black)
Furmax Office Desk Leather Gaming, High Back Ergonomic Adjustable Racing Task Swivel Executive Computer Chair Headrest and Lumbar Support (Black)

Pros: While I did not find it comfortable at all, my room mate that prefers to sleep on the floor said it was "top notch". So if you're big on firmness, maybe you'd like this chair. I did not.

Cons: Very firm, not comfortable. I'm under the weight limit so that isn't part of the issue, just an overly stiff chair, and not a great range of motion.

Overall Review: Decent price, a little too firm for me.

Poor Component Quality

APEX TX-373 Black Steel Micro ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 300W Power Supply
APEX TX-373 Black Steel Micro ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 300W Power Supply

Pros: Cheap. Has MicroATX Power Supply.

Cons: The Brass Standoffs don't fit the included screws. The ports for the standoffs also don't quite match the basic MicroATX structure, leaving some overhang on an ASUS A320M-K.

Overall Review: Seriously, how bad off do you have to be to skimp on SCREWS and Standoffs? Pathetic. The screws+standoffs holding the motherboard in place were loose and would not fully tighten. They literally flew off in a burst when I applied pressure to mount the stock AM4 fan to the back bracket. Lucky it didn't break anything. I get that this isn't a luxury case, but for double jacksons I at least expect basic functionality.

It's huge!

Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers
Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: Gorgeous picture, great price.

Cons: This might not be an issue if actually used as a PC monitor, but I use mine as a TV hooked to an Xbox 360, and when you shut the console off, the Monitor goes to the "No Signal Input" screen, and will blare it *for all eternity* until you physically shut the monitor off. I was using a 22" Acer in the exact same way before and it never did this, always shut right off. I dug through the monitor's menu and skimpy little manual and found no way of changing this. This is further compounded by the buttons being plastic-y feeling and awkward on the side, especially annoying when you've just shut all your lights out, and would like to go to sleep but have this blue and white window blaring across the room. I haven't tried hooking it to my actual PC, as the desk isn't big enough and I think that would be overkill, so I've only knocked one point off for it.

Awesome

Western Digital Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It's Cheap. It's Fast. It's Half a Terabyte. And if you're seriously obsessed it's quiet too.

Cons: Hard as I tried, I could not get it to store my excess body fat. Ah well, maybe next decade.

Cheap and Effective

Transcend 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model JM4GDDR2-8K
Transcend 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model JM4GDDR2-8K

Pros: The price is jaw dropping as you can see, and it works with Asus. Not meant as overclocking RAM so it would be silly to bother with it.

Cons: I have 4 of these in an Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe, and about once a month I'll a no-post with memmory error code, and then after a couple power cycles it'll boot right back up and be fine. This particular model isn't listed in the Motherboards recommended list, but the 1GB and 512 Transcend modules are. Just a minor possible issue you may run into.

Overall Review: Windows XP Pro 64 recognizes all 8 gigs just fine. My memory never gets more than 30% usage when running things like Crysis, so it's overkill, but it's a nice touch of future-proofness, and at this price it's not like you're setting yourself back for it.

Blatantly ignored duplicate order issue

Reached out to Newegg customer service, they contacted the seller to have the duplicate order removed. No action was taken by Flytec, I got charged twice, and was wastefully shipped two of them separately to boot. Get your products from someone else. Newegg itself is still great.
